In 1995 I joined The Hauseman Group to head up the UK and European operations of the American based Company. The main target area was in the Hotels and Leisure sector of the market with the main client developing 23 hotels with the Company. There were also many and varying projects with Center Parcs mainly in Holland but also in the UK, Germany and Belgium. There were also several office, medical, schools and call centre projects. The schools projects were PFI feasibility studies and assessments for lottery funding
With The Hauseman Group the UK design styles were created for Howard Johnson, best new Interior Design 2000 award and Days Inn, best new International Days Inn 1999 award. Also the designs for Holiday Inn Express were included in the Holiday Inn Express standard design manual.
Designs for four and five star hotels were developed up to planning stage for Scandic Hotels now part of Hilton, in Wardour Street London and the IFSC and RDS Centres in Dublin, Four Seasons in Dublin, Radisson Carlson in Virginia Waters and a private client in the Smithfield area of London, this development included a fitness centre and offices.
