Douglas Fir (Pseudotsuga menziesii)
Tree up to 100m tall, with branches irregularly whorled and bark ridged and red-brown. Leaves single, silvery beneath, fragrant when crushed. Flowers April-May. Fruit a woody cone, hanging down.

Not common, found only in woodland strip.
