HOW TO GET TO US

The Railway and it's steam trains is located in the Staffordshire Peak District 2 miles North of Leek in Staffordshire near the Cheshire & Derbyshire border.  It's within easy travelling distance of the Midlands, Manchester and Merseyside. The nearest towns are Leek, Congleton, Macclesfield Stoke on Trent and Buxton. Follow the A523 Leek to Macclesfield Road. Watch out for the brown signs Lake Railway at the turn off towards the West one mile North of Leek onto the B5331. After half a mile turn sharp left after passing under the railway bridge  and go up the ramp into the free car park.

Our Postcode is ST13 8PF if you have SATNAV and that will take you to Rudyard Road the B5331. Carry on into Rudyard village and up the ramp into the station.

Mail line Train Services are available to Stoke on Trent (12 miles), Macclesfield (13 miles) and Congleton. There are regular frequent bus services No.18 every day from Hanley (Stoke) to Leek( approx every 20 mins. Mon-Sat & Hourly on Sundays and Bank Holidays)

From Leek a Baker Bus service No. 423 operates to Rudyard and Biddulph on weekdays only. Return fare Leek to Rudyard is £2.20 Their website gives times and details of the route at www.bakerbus.co.uk or ring 01782 522101
