Driver Experience Courses Our driver experience courses an ideal gift and are intended to be a pleasant introduction to the skills needed to drive a steam engine pulling a real train. No prior knowledge is necessary but if the person taking the course is an enthusiast they will also find it enjoyable and mentally challenging We have four steam engines which can be used so If you have a particular preference for a particular engine we can normally accommodate this. Tel: 01706 854799 TRAIN FOR SALE A friend of the railway has a 15 inch gauge railway Black 5 locomotive and train for sale. Videos We have three specially produced videos of the railway available. They are: Steam Gala 2002. This is the story of the steam gala that year and the visiting engine Bray Valley that came specially for the occasion. It lasts is approx 40 minutes. This video is produced by A. A. Boon video productions. Rudyard Lake Steam Railway 2003 Season & Gala This tells the story of the various activities over 2003. it includes the visiting engine Waverley that stayed for the Summer and Ivanhoe which came for the gala. It lasts for approx 50 minutes. Rudyard Lake Steam Railway & the Leek & Manifold Light Railway Steam Gala Tells the story of trains on the railway in 2004 together with the present scenes on the remains of the old leek & manifold Railway track bed. Shows the steam gala in 2004 to commemorate the centenary of the opening of this much loved railway with replicas of both the original locomotives present at Rudyard. Produced by C. Burgess productions. DVD's of these production's are available for £9 and are highly recommended. Videos of both productions are on sale separately at Rudyard at £6 or £10 for two.
