is the trading name for bear artist Hayley Orchard. Working in Buckinghamshire,
she designs and makes fully jointed traditional bears in fine quality mohair.
Each bear Hayley makes has glass eyes, a hand embroidered nose and hardboard joints. They have ultrasuede, suedette or wool felt paws
and are filled either firmly with polyester or with a mixture of polyester and plastic pellets to give a slightly softer feel. They are designed
with long arms and the traditional hump which is in keeping with the style of early Twentieth Century bears. Many "Orchard Bears" also have hand embroidered claws.
Hours of work and care go into making each one individually to ensure that these collectors bears will hopefully be treasured and "live" long into the future.
