I can see you say to yourself, Another
boring report. Well
you have never been further from the truth.
The question should now be where shall I begin?
In the past four months of our youth group it has been
how shall I put it.. very exciting very exciting indeed.
In this time we have seen tremendous growth in the group, both physically and spiritually.
Physically we have grown from on average 9
a week to now 32 a week, which has been a tremendous blessing
to all involved. Its always good to see things you put your
time and effort into go so well in such a case that more people
want to attend. Spiritually
the kids are learning more and more things about God, not just
hearing storys from the bible but also learning to have
that close relationship with him. Our aim as youth leaders and , in whole, as
a church is to see the kids grow and develop in the Christian
teaching.
I
hear you ask, what then
when the children come do they do.
First of all when we get all the kids in, we sit them down
and open in prayer, which in some cases the kids want to do. Then through the night we play games, mostly
chicken (if you want to know what chicken is ask your kids Im
sure they will love to tell you.) have quizs and then do
a talk based really on the Bible. Then before you know it the
night has come to a end, and its off home until Sunday.
In
and through the year we have many activitys going on, some
maybe trips out others may include staying in the church.
When we do go out we ethier go bowling, laser quest, walks,
etc. When we stay in, the activitys we do
are limited to a degree, lately weve done a girls meal in
which the girls had to make the lads a meal.
It was very NICE!! Now coming soon we have the lads cooking
for the girls, so on that one we do value your prayers.
At the moment we have a new member of
the team with us to help out for the next year. John is part of a team that has been brought into to Rochdale to
help out with Childrens work as well as other areas
in which he will be working. John so far has been a blessing to the group
and I feel he will be able to really help us guide the kids further
forward, we as a youth group though have found a problem with
him and thats to do with his hair but thats another
story.
Well thats enough of me for the moment
if you would like to talk to me about anything that has been said,
or anything you do wish to say please do not hesitate to
Email me (see 'How To Contact Us').
Thank for reading,
Alan and the team.
