CHARLES GIBSON, Westward Ho!, North Devon.          
Gibson was well regarded as a fine clubmaker.This putter has scored line face      
markings with Gibson's "Rampant Stallion" cleekmark on the back. The head is      
also stamped "C Gibson & Son, Westward Ho!" (Gibson was professional at the      
club). This putter is probably one of Gibson's earlier clubs, possibly Circa 1910.      
Shaft is also stamped "C Gibson & Son, Westward Ho!". A lovely item.        
                     
ST ANDREW GOLF CO, Dunfirmline and Glasgow      
Dot punch face markings. Stamped Putter with Rd471013 and Fair Way "Aspire"      
cleekmark. Autograph stamped "Harry J Fernie". Very nice club. Circa 1910 - 20.      
Club does not have the familiar "Running Stag" marking.          
                     
TOM STEWART, St Andrews              
Scored line face markings. Stewart "Pipe of Peace" cleekmark with "T.S.St.A.REG.      
TRADEMARK". Also with retailers stamp marking "D&W Auchterlonie, St Andrews".    
Dot stamped into toe on back of club signifying that Stewart himself had personally      
supervised the making of the club. Club is stamped "D&W Auchterlonie" therefore      
Stewart would have sold this as a club head only (which he often did). Hosel has      
Maxwell style drillings.Nice club indeed. Probably Circa 1910 -20.        
                     
WRIGHT & DITSON CO., Boston, USA          
Regular dot punch face markings. Stamped on the back "Wright & Ditson" with Spalding    
markings and an "Arrow - Accurate" marking pointing away from the toe. Wright &      
Ditson were early sports good retailers part of the Spalding organisation. Club has      
a good quality leather grip. 1910 -20

Braid Mills aluminium putter. "Braid Mills" model stamped "Medium Lie 9ozs 4drs.      
Circa 1905 - 1915.

This club exhibits Anderson's "OK" marking and bears his autograph stamp. Dot punch      
face markings. I would guess at Circa 1915.

F H Ayres autographed putter with "Special STAYNORUS" stamped in "rustless"      
iron head. "Maltese Cross" cleekmark with dot punch face markings. Circa 1910-20.      
                     
SPALDING BROS                  
Scored line face markings with "Anvil" cleekmark on back of club. Club also marked      
"J Partridge Rose Hill Golf Club". Circa 1910 -20.            
                     
HENDRY and BISHOP, Edinburgh and Leith            
1920's "Mitre Brand" club with "Bishop's Mitre" cleekmark.          
Dot punch face marking. Stamped "R Greenway, Coventry".          
                     
FRANK A JOHNSON Ltd, London              
Scored line face markings with "Key" cleekmark on back of head. Club is also      
stamped "B Ashby, Letchworth". Circa 1910.            
                     
BEN SAYERS                  
"BENNY MALLET" classic rustless head putter with classic Robin cleekmark.      
Circa 1975.Collectible club nowadays. Probably one well remembered from the      
youthful days?                  
                     
Other – Unknown maker    
Criss-cross scored line face markings on this club with no visible markings on back.    
Very faint but just about readable stamp on back "Harold (?) Smith, Minehead".    
Could be around 1910.
