Gallery Ripfloggers News Letter Results Anglesey R.C
Please check out the new additions to the gallery page as the clubs photographer has passed me some nice shots and there is more to come.
The majority of the clubs road racing is done at the Anglesey Racing Circuit which can be found near Holyhead near a place called Ty Croes.
Over the last couple of years the circuit owners have put in an awfully large amount of
time and effort into bringing the circuit from a small, almost dirt track, up to one of
the best little circuits around with good close racing for all forms of motor sport, now
also includes 'Super Moto' races using the circuits auto cross track. For this season they
have changed the shape of 'Radar' making it more open and therefore the hole circuit
quicker as it leads you onto the top straight at a higher speed to start with. As the
circuit has grown and so has the number of entrants to each meeting, this is definitely a
case of the more the merrier with the pits over flowing last years 'Grand' meeting had
getting on for 200 entrants.

The club hosts the only true road race on closed roads on the U.K. main land. Every year in June we all go to the top of the Wirral peninsular and race on the promenade around the roundabouts and through the kerbs minding the lamp posts as we go. Thanks to all those shown below and many more for without your help we would not be riding.

It really is an experience to ride the short and twisty 1.1 mile circuit which is shown below.

The club is also involved in the running of what is normally the first meeting of the new season on the Easter weekend at Oulton Park near Chester. The circuit has to be one of the most picturesque in the country being like a ride through the country, all be it a very fast one. The circuit has what must be on of the fastest corners around, the left hander of Island bend, taken flat in fifth on a super bike, it is a big bottle corner that leads on to the rarest of bends a high speed hair pin. The only problem about this part of the track for the rider is staying on the bike and on the power but for the spectator there is little or no opportunity to watch from anywhere near.

I am afraid to say this is a plea to anyone out there who would like to become involved in motorcycle racing, the club is desperately seeking Susan !! sorry it's desperately seeking all types of officials to help with the running of the meetings, marshals, any other officials are in short supply and without them we can have no racing. If anyone can help please get in touch with us.
