The two major GT40 owner's clubs in the UK are:

  • The GT40 Enthusiasts' Club - for all GT40s and their various replicas.
  • The GTD40 Club - as above, but more specifically for the GTD40. This club is for the more competition-minded member.

The gt40s forum is unrivalled for news, views, arguments and a cornucopia of GT40 information.

For an interesting insight into the history of GTD, have a look at GTD Racing (sadly now defunct).

Depending on what is accessible for you, here are a number of companies offering services that might be useful:

  • Demon Tweeks - have a lot of specialised, if expensive, stuff.
  • Robin Sundt's parts sources
  • Holley Carburettors - masses of technical data about the GT40's traditional carb.
  • MDA - Mark Sibley's replicas - eagerly awaited.
  • MSD Electronic ignition systems - parts catalogues, specs and tech support.
  • Optimate III battery chargers and conditioners, to look after your battery during the winter off the road.
  • Paul Goff's lamps - for conversion rings so your headlamps can take the later H4 P43t high performance bulbs; also some awesome LED stop/tail lights!
  • PowerStop Brakes - for higher performance brake pad sets.
  • Premier Wiring Systems - specialise in parts for replica car electrics - note their new phone number is 01483 236976.
  • RaceMettle - PowerLite high performance geared starter motors, alternators and engine builds.
  • RallyNuts - more specialised bits.
  • Tornado Sportscars - currently the only UK manufacturer producing replicas.
  • Wealden Engineering - Frank Catt's gold mine of racing mods and excellent engineering.
