This elegant family home stands in an acre of mature grounds off a quiet lane at the foot of North Hill and has superb views of the surrounding hills. It is conveniently situated within a few minutes of the town centre and sea front as well as the woods and hills of North Hill.
North Hill is a designated Nature Reserve and part of Exmoor National Park. We are extremely fortunate to have this beautiful country within 5 minutes of our home. It is a paradise for those who wish to enjoy nature - there are stags, wild ponies, badgers, foxes and all manner of bird life. For those interested in flora North Hill is a site of scientific interest. There are certain flora which are indigenous only to our Hill.
Exmoor is well worth a visit, it offers solitude and peace. Visitors often tell me they have walked all day and not met another person until they stopped for a famous Exmoor cream tea - a must for all visitors to the region.
Also within easy reach of our home is the beautiful thatched village of Selworthy and historic Dunster with it Castle that dates from 1066. This castle is owned by the National Trust and open to visitors during the season.
Our holiday accommodation is ideally situated for exploring the scenic walks and drives of Exmoor National Park, Porlock Weir, the charming thatched villages, Doone Valley, Lynton and Lynmouth. Minehead also offers an excellent 18 hole golf course, Indoor Swimming Pool, horse riding facilities and Britains longest privately owned Steam Railway. The town has a 450 seat theatre which hosts regular productions.
