Flerk the Flergle and the Ferocious Footang

Flergles have feathery heads and when they floogle around the flurty trees their feathers float around. Faatims mostly flink and futresses flounce.

The forest of Faloola surrounds the fjord of Faloola where Flerk and his friends love to go and foom in the foam of the fjord. At least they used to love to foom, but now they are fearful of the fjord because a ferocious footang has started feeding there and as everyone knows footangs feed on flergles, faatims and futresses. The footang has fifty feet, four eyes and five foot fangs and breathes fire. Unfortunately Flerk and the other creatures need to go to the fjord for freshwater for a flergle cannot survive on flurty fruit juice alone.

One day Flerk announced to his friends that he had decided to free the forest from the ferocious footang and left at once to fight the fearsome foe. Flits and Ferd fearing Flerk had gone funny in the feathers decided to follow. Flerk found the footang floozing against a flurty tree and he floogled slowly up to it. Feeling braver he fled faster and fell headlong towards his foe. He flew between its front legs floogling all the way and his feathers tiggled the footang's tummy. The footang unaccustomed to frontal assault and further befuddled by the tiggling fell over and found he could not get up. Flerk, Flits and Ferd only agreed to free the footang once he agreed to flee the forest of Faloola forever.

From this day on footangs fear flergles and their floogling feathers.
