This game between England and Jamaica will be played on 3 June 2006 at Manchester United's Old Trafford stadium at 2.00pm (BST - British Summer Time). It will be England's last warm up game before the World Cup 2006 - England have not played Jamaica before.

Jamaica are not going to the World Cup 2006 as only game third behind the USA and Panama in Group 1 of the North, Central American and Caribbean qualification Zone  They played Ghana on 29 May 2006 but lost 4-1 at Leicester City's Walkers stadium - Ghana are in Group E at the World Cup 2006. Ghana had the better of the first half and scored twice but Jamaica improved after the break and scored from a free kick - Shane Crawford took the free kick and Jason Euell put the ball in the net after 58 minutes. Ghana made the game safe, however, with two more goals after 66 and 68 minutes.

Jamaica's team against Ghana was Donovan Ricketts (Shawn Sawyers 87), Claude Davis, Damion Stewart, Garfield Reid, Omar Daley, Khari Stephenson (Jason Morrison 83), Shane Crawford, Jason Euell, Jamal Campbell-Ryce (Jermaine Johnson 63), Luton Shelton (Ricardo Fuller 46), Marlon King (Teofore Bennett 83)


 

                                                          


 

Gary Neville still has a hamstring injury that he picked up against Hungary and will not be risked for this game. Eriksson said that Gary Neville should be fit to play again by Monday 5 June 2006. Jamie Carragher is therefore likely to start at right back for this game. The senior England players also told Eriksson that they prefer playing in a 4-4-2 formation and Eriksson suggested this will be the formation used against Jamaica.
