Following on from England's 3-0 victory over Denmark yesterday the England manager, Sven Goran Eriksson said today that "We did the job and we did it well". He said that to continue to do well England must stick to tactics and organisation as much as possible, be disciplined on the pitch and know what do do for 90 minutes of the game. He also stated that it is important to have players that can improvise to different situations when required too.

When asked about the latest injury situation, Eriksson said that he didn't think that there were any serious injury problems and that everyone should be back in training within a couple of days. Michael Owen had picked up a groin injury in the match against Denmark, Paul Scholes picked up an ankle injury and Emile Heskey and Robbie Fowler picked up knocks too.

In the quarter finals England will either play Brazil or Belgium. Eriksson noted that if Brazil beat Belgium tomorrow, Brazil would be "a tricky one, very tricky" and said that they had good defenders as well as their forward players. Eriksson said that Brazil had an attacking line up against Costa Rica as they wanted to score goals "and they did - scored five - they are good".
