England are not the only team to have had injuries to their World Cup squad (see the England World Cup squad here). The German squad for the World Cup 2002 excludes several players due to injury too. Their coach, Rudi Voller is without Sebastian Deisler, Mehmet Scholl, Joerg Heinrich, Christian Worns and Jen Nowotny as they are all injured. The German squad given to FIFA on 21 May was:
