Week beginning: 24/03/02
- Right, so
the "Wash EP" has not made an appearance as yet! Sorry, still
fixing it and stuff. It will be here by the end of the week for download
almost definitely. I have a tendency for breaking promises though ... but,
we'll see what happens. "New One" will be the first track posted
- written by Indian Runner in 1995 and co-written with Trevor Ford and Colin
Wooldridge featuring Jon Legg playing bass (one of the only songs ever written
in a live environment .... jamming never works).
- Writing continues
for the new album this week. The band are hoping to have a whole host of
new material to pick and choose from before recording commences in late
April.
- It is fairly
safe to say that the new album may (and this is a very big MAY) be ready
for download by early September 2002 (a year after the "Our Homes"
material was first posted). It is true to say that lyrically the band are
trying to stear clear of any metaphorical references to plane crashes and
other disasters this time around, going back instead to stories focusing
on more localised violence.
- (Oh yes, if
you're looking at this Trevor ... please email us so we can have a lengthy
chat over a beer at some point - much to tell you about and stuff???)
- The first
out-take from the new material is now available on the scrapyard
page. "Wine Bar Revolution" was dropped last week due to the fact
that it sounds too similar to earlier material. The version available for
download is free of intrusive vocals.
- We've added
a link on our stuff page to the Medway and Maidstone
Bands Site which Indian Runner are now affiliates of. You can go directly
to the site by clicking here.
-
Callaghans
"East Route" mini LP can be downloaded here.
Expect more weird stuff to download in the not too distant future.
-
Indian
Runners "Our Homes Are On The Flightpath" LP is now available
for download in its entirety. The album can be found here.
-
Anyone
wishing to get hold of a copy of the actual CD rather than having to download
the whole thing should email us here.
We will be charging three pound for the album (can't say fairer than that!)
and we will discuss terms for payment via email. This is only open to
people in the UK at the moment (not that anyone from anywhere outside
the South of England comes here anyway!!) Indian Runner are not interested
in making any kind of profit because ... well, because they're communists.
The three pound just covers CD costs.
-
The
band shop is located here. Indian Runner are discussing
changing all the artwork on the various designs once publicity for the
album and site begins.
