1. SPIDERS (Prov 30:28).
The spider is indeed in palaces, even your own home. If you notice, there is always the cobweb there, but no matter how many time you destroy it, she only goes and builds another one.
We should be like her, how? - if you notice, when she has a set back, she doesn't give up, she keeps on going, no matter how many times her web is destroyed, she makes a new one, she just doesn't give up - neither should we, when we have a set back, pick yourself up, and start all over again.2. ANTS (Prov 30:25).
They are indeed weak, but they make use of all the time that is available to them, they don't put something off, if it needs to be done, they do it.
We should follow their example, because how many times have you heard someone (or even yourself) say, "I haven't the time, no time now, maybe later etc", but if someone should offer you an all expenses paid trip to any destination of your choice, you would soon find time, wouldn't you!! Use the time you have, don't put something off, if it needs doing, do it!3. GRASSHOPPERS (Prov 30:27).
Locusts are basically grasshoppers anyway. But a single one wouldn't bother you, but a swarm is enough to put the frighteners on even the strongest of us.
Where does that apply to us, I hear you thinking! Easy peasy - On our own, we are insignificant, but in a group we are strong - one of the reasons why we should fellowship. As a group we can stand against all and anything.4. RABBITS (Prov 30:26).
The Rock Badger (or Rock Rabbit), lives in the open, when danger threatens it runs into the rocks where it is safe.
This is getting heavy! Like the rabbit, in the open we are defenceless, but when danger threatens, we should cling to the rock. The rock of our salvation, Jesus Christ, our Lord, the Son of the Living God. Because, in Him, we can do anything - danger is then no threat to us.
