Jesus promises us that for those who believe in Him, the miracles (or works) He has done, they shall do also, and greater works than these he will do (Jn 14:12).
In plain understandable English, what Christ did, we can do, and more!!
What is the ''more'', I would say leading someone to the Lord - it's pretty awe inspiring when you think of it - Jesus did some marvellous, awe inspiring things, we can do them as well - raise the dead (those dead in sin that is), heal the sick, lame, blind, demon possessed, even quell the elements.
Come to think of it, when Christ rebuked/stilled the storm (Mt 9:23-27), it must have been some storm. After all some of His disciples were fishermen, whose fathers' were fishermen before them. They had spent their lives earning their living on the lake, and being hardened sailors knew what the weather could bring. For them to have been frightened it must have been some storm. Yet our Lord quelled it.
It also teaches us that in the midst of a crisis (storm) in our lives me must be able to focus on Him in the midst of it.
