Hello and Welcome to the Barmy Army On-Line - BAOL.

When I first went to Uni in September 95, there were few Wednesday sites. Although they had many statistics, they were, for one reason or another, not up-to-date. As I now lived in Middlesbrough, it wasn't as easy to get the latest news about Wednesday as I did at home in Sheffield. But what must it be like for all those owls living further away than Middlesbrough, especially abroad? It was then I decided to set up my own web-page and the Barmy Army On-Line was born.

The news that appears on this web-page is collected from many different sources. Family back home helped out a lot but other news comes from newspapers, magazines and such like. One major source of up-to-the-minute news is the Owls@Sheff mailling list and I advise anybody with e-mail access to join. It doesn't cost a penny and it's a great laugh as well as very informative.

The page is up-dated frequently, often every day during the season. Although news can drop-off during the close season, every effort is made to keep the page up-to-date.

IF you would like to contribute any stories or have any information which you think will be of interest to owls fans then your can contact me by e-mailling Wiseowl@geocities.com (also see feedback).
