Painting Holidays in Keswick, Grasmere and Italian Lakes

Lakeland Art Courses by Jane Ward, a professional landscape artist, demonstrator and enthusiastic tutor, holding painting holidays in various beautiful locations. All levels of painting ability from total beginners through to Intermediates and in a range of mediums watercolour, pastels and oil. Small friendly groups painting in relaxed and beautiful locations staying in perfect accommodation to enjoy the delights of a painting holiday, a real getaway from the busy life.

Four days painting courses are based in Keswick and Grasmere from April through to October catching forever changing scenery, seasons and moods in picture postcard settings ideal painting settings for all levels of ability.

Painting day on Derwent Island, this is a very unique experience, and one not to be missed, Wednesday 20th August from 10am to 4pm a day painting on this beautiful Island starting the morning at 10am with a private launch to the Island, morning coffee served, and then a day of painting in watercolours ideal for beginners with one to one tutition, afternoon tea and return launch about 4pm.Price £75 An ideal taster day for Watercolours

One week courses in Italian Lakes, the secret jewel 'Lake Iseo' a perfect oasis for beginners and experienced painters to sample the delights of painting in Italy.I have booked Rivalago from Saturday 20th to Saturday 27th June 09 places are limited and I am holding 2008 price of £875 if booked before 30.9.08.

Where we stay

Four day courses in the Lake District are based in Grasmere staying at Glenthorne Guest Country House set in the Easedale valley, yet within five mintes of the village centre. .Courses in 2008 will be based in Portinscale, Keswick staying at Derwent Lodge a few minutes walk from the Lakeshore an a mile from the Lakeland market town of Keswick , Four day courses begin on Monday at 12 pm lunchtime and finish on Thursday afternoon at 2pm,Tuesday and Wednesday begin at 10 and finish at 5pm.

Italy courses are based at Rivalago Hotel a four star hotel situated on the lakeshore at the pretty village of Sulzano. The hotel lies amid one of the nicest coves of Iseo Lake, known to locals as'gulf of flowers with unforgettable views across to Monta Isola. Artists will find Monta Isola the largest island in Europe, an oasis of peace and tranquil.
