Four day courses in the Lake District are based in Grasmere staying at Glenthorne set in the Easedale valley, yet within five mintes of the village centre. Painting locations will include Rydal Water, Grasmere Lake and Easedale Valley a perfect painting compostions.Painting on location and with demonstrations everyday, for the odd rainy days demonstrations can be taken in the garden room opening directly onto the gardens of the Glenthorne and Easedale Valley.

Course agenda

Every day will be spent on location with Jane working alongside supporting,demonstrating and encouraging to develop your own style.

Courses starts at 12 noon with a welcome meeting and discussion of painting locations etc followed by an afternoon of painting either on location or an inside demonstration.

Two full days will begin at 10am catching the local open topped bus to our first location of the day a few hours spent capturing reflections beside Rydal Water or Grasmere Lake, an inspirational Hot Chocolate or alternate tipple at the local Inn, the afternoon spent painting either on location or back at the Glenthorne, finishing around 5pm.

Thursday meeting at 10am painting in Easedale Valley or in Glenthorne Grounds finishing at 2pm with a very informal critique.

*Watercolours for Beginners Monday 20th to 23rd October A course for someone who has always fancied watercolours, a step by step course with lots of demonstrations, all basic techniques will be covered and a day painting and sketching beside the Lake, Autumn colours will be amazing.Price £395Spaces still left

 

 

All other courses are suitable for students who have painted before and would like a gentle push in a new direction or just to enjoy painting in a small and friendly group in beautiful scenery, all courses include gentle walking to reach all painting destinations.
