Pie Chambers-Sethi:
Pie began her career in textiles as a weaver in 1974when she trained with David Russell Gurney in the North East of Scotland where she lived and worked for 10 years, exhibiting widely at that time.
Her interest in Kilim weaving developed since since leaving the North and becoming based in Devon in 1986.
Since visiting in 1989 and later living in India for several months each year she developed a passionate love affair with Indigo and her skills have spread to those of block printing and resist dyeing.
She now lives in Somerset and leads several textile study tours to India each winter, whilst during the summer months she returns to England to conduct textile workshops at her home in Frome and in Cumbria.
During the last few years she has exhibited at the Black Swan Gallery in Frome, Bideford, Appledore, Bath, Yorkshire, Goudhurst, and the American Museum in Bath.
