Club ProfileThe Japanese Bantam Club of Great Britain has in recent years benefited from a significant rise in the popularity of the breed. With an ever increasing membership and an enthusiastic core of show 'men', the club is quite optimistic about it's future. The number of birds benched at the three major shows has been steadily increasing with over 200 birds being benched at the Club show in February 2002. Not only have the big shows benefited from this increase in popularity but most of the smaller regional shows have also grown in the number of classes and entries. The club's successes must in part be due to the enthusiasm with which members have promoted the breed at shows and sales throughout the year. The club stand has been rejuvenated with fresh photos of winning birds and a wide variety of products for sale, products made / developed by the members themselves. This has enabled the club to be financially stable whilst supporting the cost of publication of the booklet "An Introduction to Japanese Bantams" This again is a compilation of members work and knowledge with respect to the breed.
