"The large expansive table almost groaned under the weight of the discussion. The atmosphere reeked of immenent corporate death. Dark eyes peered over the top of a pair of Arducci Nonsol shades; the Cloak Division troubleshooter was about to pass her opinion to the Board of Directors. She reached into her jacket."A BLA-046 M Blitzer with more recoil baffling than ever deemed necessary bounced off the waxed teak. The woman spun her gun on the table idly as the conversation listed and pitched from one view to another.
"The west window cracked from the bullet's impact, followed by the wash of blood, snot, skull and brain. The sound of a HESH round fired in an enclosed room rang in everyone's ears and the acrid smell of solid propellant floated from nose to nose. A decision had been made, the man to lead the corporation smiled at being chosen. He mentally reminded himself to include the Cloak girl Cherry Hinton in his monthly kickback portfolio."
