14/04/08 - A walk to Great Hill from Brinscall
This evening was nice after the recent rain, evident in the puddles along the track over Wheelton Moor. Also we had our new (well very old actually) dog Johnston (but I call him Gummy or Gums). He's supposed to be 16 but Great Hill turned out to be no challenge for him. |

Another view from Drinkwaters

Unusual to see tyre tracks here

Troy looks towards the setting sun above the old ruins

Gums takes it at a leisurely pace

Winter Hill from Great Hill

The X wall on Great Hill summit

This is the first time I've noticed these wind turbines, they must be on the moors near Burnley or Ramsbottom

Gums takes it easy on the summit

"Whats that Troy?"

I spent 20 minutes here at Drinkwaters taking in the views and the sunset

It was a lovely evening and the walk back to Brinscall was a pleasure, but too dark for photography
