Previous Work Experience

June 1999 to Present - KPMG, London

Employed as a Consultant with in the package solutions group of management consultancy I am responsible for providing clients of KPMG with clear solutions in implementing JD Edwards. This consists of configuring the system so that it best fits the clients needs, if this cannot be met due to system constraints then a work around must be devised with the client. Once the system has been configured the set up must be written up in clear terms as to why the system has been configured the way it has and why choices have been made. The user training documentation must then be written by myself and then the training performed. \par Once the training has been completed and the user are satisfied with the training given it is then my responsibility to write the test scripts for user acceptance testing for the module that I have configured.

March 1998 to June 1999 - Virgin Atlantic Airways, Crawley

Employed as VITAL Systems Controller it was my responsibility to Support, Develop, Train and maintain the Distribution & Financial modules of the JD Edward's software along with all the other software products / hardware used in conjunction with JDE.\par \pard\par \pard\li3600 The system was implemented within 6 month\rquote s of purchasing the software, I joined the project team 2 months before the live date.

I had to support along with my assistants the 250 Virgin user\rquote s world-wide along with 20 other 3rd party users. This involved setting the security, menu set ups aswell as identifying and deciding on the best solutions for a countries implementation.

I was responsible for organising any system outages and upgrades that needed to be performed on any of the Software that resided on the AS400 that JDE resided on.

I was the sole support for the Showcase data \tab extraction products within Virgin, this was not solely used on the JD Edward's AS400 but 2 others also.

I have successfully implemented the BACS interface with JDE along with Fax 400 & Essbase.

July 1996 to March 1998 - Virgin Atlantic Airways, Crawley

Employed as the Assistant Engineering System Controller, I assisted the Engineering Systems Controller in ensuring efficient management and administration of the Rene, Perez & Associates and Accounts Payable systems within Engineering.

In this function I provided comprehensive support facilities including training and procedures, development of the system, aided with the early identification and analysis of problems encountered to determine whether the cause lay with the programming, \tab data quality or user training and recommend the appropriate solutions.

I supervised the staff within the Data Management Group in the absence of the Systems Controller and monitored the data security through PMI and AP access control by password and liaised with VAA IT on other system security.

I ensured that the user documentation was produced and maintained up to date and in accordance with the Quality Assurance department guide lines.

I had to prepare training courses and materials to me the requirements of all levels of Engineering. \tab\par \tab I also provided retraining where appropriate on new developments and system releases.

I also provided management reports collating data collected from system downloads accurately and to time scales specified by Users.

Sept. 1992 to July 1996 - Virgin Atlantic Airways, Heathrow

Responsible for the stock control of Aircraft Components, using Virgin Atlantic's PMI computer system ensuring that the aircraft's operation is smooth running. In charge of a team of 5 personnel making sure that strict CAA guide lines were withheld.

The Job involved representing the company overseas at our 3rd party maintenance facilities as a liaison officer. I was Seconded to produce a comprehensive User Guide for Materials Management personnel to use the PMI computer system.
