When 16 year-old Thomas MARFLEET and his younger brother James moved from Boston, Lincolnshire, to seek their fortune in London, they settled within the Parish of Christ Church. It was here that Thomas married Elizabeth NICHOLES on the 13th May, 1759.

Thomas became a pork butcher and lived in Little Pater Noster Row and James became an apprentice cooper.

James married Elizabeth BRICKMAN at the same church on the 16th May, 1756.
