Volunteer Car Scheme

This was also set up under the Rural Bus Challenge and works in conjunction with the Ring & Ride.

Most of the trips are for medical appointments or where the passenger needs a little more than just the transport; They may prefer the company while waiting to be seen at the hospital, or be very unsure and worried about where exactly they need to go once they have reached their destination.

Currently car trips are charged at 35 pence per mile, with a minimum charge of £2.50
