Volunteers

Without the phenomenal support that our volunteers give to us YSDCT would not run.

We currently have the following volunteers working with YSDCT.

• 12 Volunteer Drivers prepared to drive for any group
• 4 Volunteer Drivers who only drive for Car Scheme
• 51 Volunteer Drivers who drive only for their own group
• 2 Non driving Volunteers
  

Over the last 12 months 4896 volunteer driving hours have been done by these drivers, this is the equivalent of 95 hours each week, or the work of 3.5 full time drivers, if we had to pay these staff it would cost well in excess of £25,000 a year.

All YSDCT volunteers are offered training suitable for the role they are undertaking. We are currently reviewing the training offered and details are shown below of the modules currently available.
