(In
December 1999 we wrote:-)
Professional
portrait photographerJon Marshall was recently awarded the
title of Kodak Family Portrait Photographer of the Year with
this rather unusual shot of an Indian family who requested
a photo whilst themselves on holiday in Agra. Not only has
the photographer won himself £500 of cash and film, the
family have also netted themselves the princely sum of £1000
- but only if we can track them down ! Despite sending them
copies of the print in October (1999) we have as yet received
no response. Currently we have what appear to be two incomplete
addresses - both in a town in Madhya Pradesh called Katni,
(in urban areas called 'Nai Basti' and 'Civil Lines') We are
making plans, if necessary, to travel to India to award the
family with their prize. If you recognise the people in the
photo please ask them to get in touch.
