Model Art Decal System - 72/029

T-6G/SNJ-4/De Havilland Sea Vixen
This sheet kicks off with a decidedly French flavour, staring with three ground attack T-6G's that served in the Algerian conflict from EALA's 11/72, 1/320 and 03/010, all in an overall yellow finish and with colourful squadron badges, the fourth option is for a silver French Navy SNJ-4 of Escadrille 52. The instructions also give hints and tips on armaments and pylon positions for the Algerian based aircraft and the sheet includes all the roundels needed to model all the aircraft featured.

The rest of the sheet is dominated by the mighty De Havilland Sea Vixen - again timely given the Revell reissue of the much sought-after Frog kit - and the sheet has markings for 766, 890, 892, 893 and 899 Naval Air Squadrons, including some subtle variations of the various squadron badges. There has been some compromise in that roundels and serial number will have to found from other sources, but as the Modeldecal sheets have just been reprinted, this isn't much of an imposition. The sheet does plenty of stencil data and no-step markings. Given that there are now detail and update sets available for the Sea Vixen, there's plenty of scope for lifting an elderly kit to more modern standards.
