Model Art Decal System - 72/033

Bearcat/Buccaneer/Allouette
An international mix that kicks off with the mighty Grumman Bearcat in French service, offering options for two aircraft from CG 1/9 and one each from GC II/8, GC 1/21 and EROM 80, all overall Sea Blue gloss. Each aircraft features some colourful artwork on the nose and codes on the tail. Monogram's neat Bearcat springs to mind, but surely there's scope out there for a new-tool kit some time..?

The Blackburn Buccaneer is next, but not the usual S.2 version - Model Art go back to the earlier Gyron-powered S.1 with the smaller intakes. Two aircraft are from 700A and 809 NAS in extra dark sea grey and white (the 700 machine has a white fin) and one from 809 NAS in overall gloss white. All the Bucc's wear the pale "anti-flash" roundels and the sheet supplies stencil data as well. The challenge comes in converting the Airfix (r Matchbox) S.2 kits back to the S.1, but the result will be different to the norm.

The final subject is the Alouette III, which three Swiss machines, one from Leichte Flieger Staffel 2 in a striking yellow and green finish, a Leichte Transport Staffel 4 example in overall gloss but with "30 Jahre" (30th anniversary) markings and last - but not least - is a target tug from the Swiss Army Air Corps in olive green and day-glo orange.
