It all started for me when I was watching Series 2 on TV and I thought "I can do that" - like most of us do! Having spent my life tinkering and making things, Robot Wars was just too much to resist and seemed like a natural way of putting some of the things I have learnt to good use and having some fun.

Since our first attempt, the machine has gradually evolved with lots of changes being made along the way to try and improve it's performance and to keep up with the ever-improving competition! It has been rebuilt a number of times, each time getting stronger and better as things have been improved.

Fighting for your life and trying to smash seven bells out of someone else's machine in the arena has to be the closest thing yet to ancient gladiatorial combat. It's the maddest thing I have ever done, but it's great fun and I'd recommend it to anyone!
