We picked Tara up from a veterinary clinic as a five week old orphan. We were
looking for a puppy from the Dog's Home,but at the time we were looking they had
no puppies but they told us about the lab x puppies at the vet's. For along time
she was confused about whether she was a dog, cat or human baby. She is still my
constant shadow.
Tara is a very special girl. When my husband suffered a major heart attack
and needed a transplant, Tara insisted we walk every day to bring him up to
enough strength to cope with the surgery. And after the surgery she still
insisted on a walk every day to bring him back to full strength. Now, instead of
the gentle slow walks she enjoys mad runs on the beach and swims out for miles.
But she knew when to go slow for him!
