Story:-
My Name is Ebony Wade. I'm a female, black lab-mix puppy. I was adopted in
January 2002 by my father (John Wade). We live in Fairhope, Alabama. I was a
present for my mom (Holley Wade). My mom is extra special, she is very sick.
She has to take chemotherapy. My dad and I love on mom all the time. My main
job is keeping my mother company. My mom and I are very close. Wherever she
goes I go. My father is also extra special. He adopted me and brought me into
this wonderful home. I am an only child. My mom and dad take extra good care of
me. They spoil me rotten.
I am a very lucky Dog, because I don't know I am a dog. I get dress every
morning in a pretty little dress. Mom paints my toenails to match my outfits.
Don't you dare take me outside without my American Flag Hat or my sunshades on.
If my mom forgets to get me dressed in the mornings, I go to my closet and sit
and scratch on the door until my mom gets me dressed.
My mom and dad work for my Grandparents (Linda & Tony Wade). Some days
when mom is able, we go to work together. I love to go there. I get to ride in
a tow truck with my dad and sometimes with my Grandpa Tony. I also get to play
with my cousin Duke (male yellow lab). He is my best friend. We love to play
tug-a-war, ball and chase together. In the evenings my mom and I love to sit on
the front porch and look at the beautiful flowers and watch the cars go by.
My mom sometimes takes me to the Dog Bakery. I love the treats for there.
They have tables and chairs for dogs to eat their treats at. They serve us on
dog china. They also have jewelry, clothes, toys, and bath products for sale.
It smells so yummy in there. They are always cooking something good to eat. I
can't wait until my birthday, because I'm going to get my very own dog birthday
cake from there.
My Grandpa Tony is a pilot and has his own plane. My father is a student
pilot. Duke and I love to go to the Fairhope airport to watch them fly. I
would love to go with them in the airplane, but they don't think it is to safe
for me. Duke and I could watch them for hours. Duke's feeling sometimes gets
hurt when he does not get to go flying. It doesn't bother me as much, because I
go my mother to keep me company.
I think my dog should be the winner of the Dog of The Week Competition, becasue
she brings me so much joy and laughter in a time when I thought it was not
possible. Ebony has away of making you forget all your worries and problems.
She has become my best friend besides my husband. She lives me a reason to keep
on fighting. I could not ask for a better friend then that.
