I got Bink from someone in the village near my home. A stray Bitch had litterd in their house and they did not know what to do with the pups. When Bink came home he had barely opened his eyes and had no teeth. I fed him on Cornflakes mash and milk initially. From Cornflakes to bones he has come a Long way! Bink has never thought himself to be a dog and neither have I thought him one. He is a much pampered, much spoiled member of our household (my mother and I).

Bink likes the car a lot. In fact he is happiest when going for a drive. and if I am on the driving seat, boy does he love it. He stands behind me, and breathes into my ear, occasionally wuffing an exclamation. He barks at all the cars that get too close, children running across the road and all the stray dogs.

Bink does not need a leash when we take him for a walk. He dashes here and there but always comes back as soon as we tell him to. Fiercely protective of both of us, woe betide any person or animal that dare stop us! Bink is intensely social. Whenever we have guests, he needs to be in the living room and listenening to the conversation, and prefers it if we talk about him. If ever I have to go out of the house after dark I have nothing to fear if Bink is with me. With his rich deep bark, he clears the road and trots about in a thoroughly professional guard dog manner.

Bink is very much the only dog of the family. He has his doggy friends, but does not quite like the idea of them being patted or fed in his presence. He cannot stand small dogs either. I think they irritate him. Bink is extremely affectionate and loving. Somehow he seems to sense it if I am disturbed about something. Then he will push his cold nose into my hand and sit by my side as if to say "Everything will be OK I am with you." Fond of chasing birds and butterflies, he also likes drinking Coke with the fizz, and prefers it to Pepsi. Also he is the perfect gentleman, he can carry his liquor pretty well, a shot or two of Vodka with tomato juice is among this favorite drinks.
