A Trip Down Memory Lane

Here are a few pictures that I thought I would add as a sort of trip down my family's' memory lane.

If you recognise any of the places shown and have some background information on them, then please email me so that I can

piece together some historical events regarding this family tree.

This is a picture of 'The Goat' pub that William Newcastle Wallace and Emma ran in 1923? in the High Street in Sheerness. (I now hear that it is a bicycle shop!)   This is a picture of William George Longhurst (my paternal grandfather) and his milk float. He was manager of the Sheerness Dairy Co-op.

I know this is not a 'place' but I thought it would be rather interesting to see a picture of an old ration book. I found it in my grandparents photo box, it is intact and nothing has been removed from it.

Yes! I know, this is not a 'place' either but, I thought it would be an interesting pic, just to show we had pioneering women in our family!!!! The woman in the side-car is my nana (Florence Wallace).

I shall be adding to new pics to this page shortly.

Remember, if you have any info behind any of these pics please feel free to email me!!!
