Commander Jeffrey
Sinclair served as commander of Babylon 5 for the first year it was in operation. He was
actively involved in the Earth/Minbari war and was one of the few survivors of the Battle
of the Line, the final battle of the war before the Minbari surrendered. He was unable to
account for a 24 hour period of his time during this battle. Unknown to himself, the
Minbari abducted him, took him aboard their war cruiser and tortured him before letting
him go and wiping all memory of his time there. The Minbari specifically requested that he
be commanding officer of Babylon 5.
