SUSAN IVANOVA

Lieutenant Commander Susan Ivanova is of Russian descent and is second in command on Babylon 5. She has a particularly black sense of humour and tends to be very pessimistic about things. Her brother was killed during the Earth/Minbari war and prompted her decision to join the military which did not sit well with her father leading to many years of estrangement. Her mother was a telepath and chose not to join Psi Corp but to take drugs to suppress her abilities which ultimately lead to her committing suicide. Having served with Captain Sheridan at IO Ivanova is not as disturbed by the change in command on Babylon 5 as Garibaldi is. She forms a friendship with Talia Winters despite her hatred of Psi Corps and it's hand in her mother's death.
