She did a good job then - Doolittle is genius. And thanks, zealot!

zealot at 13:43:21 Saturday April 24 99
i was sincere i really was

Rowan at 12:56:40 Saturday April 24 99
Hmmn, I got a couple of Pixies albums today. I went in to get Surfa Rosa, but the girl behind the counter convinced me to buy Dolittle for £6.99 as well. Haven't listened to them yet though.

Asif at 7:53:20 Saturday April 24 99
Hello Everyone! I'd just like to say I'm impressed with Headcleaner cos they have an interview with Sigue Sigue Sputnik on their website. Sigue Sigue Sputnik make all the current Brit bands and all other bands worldwide look sh*t. It's a pity that the best group of all time is completely ignored by its own country. I fu*king hate blur, kula shaker, reef, travis, gay dad, and all of the other mediocre, talentless, drab, ugly, tuneless groups that seem to be in endless supply. Check out my website I myself make music, only cos everything else is so shi*. http://www.angelfire.com/ak/BassPiano/index.html

HeadCleaner at 0:46:0 Saturday April 24 99
Is zealot being sincere or sarcastic? Answers on a postcard to the usual address...

zealot at 0:22:19 Saturday April 24 99
brilliant site, man! i especially love your reviews of the Spice Girls' singles :)

Guy at 23:19:21 Thursday April 22 99
Keith... C.Ray Dancer?

Rowan at 19:2:24 Wednesday April 21 99
anyway, avoiding cheap Australian soaps, anyone for Mogwai? I'm seriously considering their album. The session they did for Lamacq was really cool

HeadCleaner at 13:39:43 Wednesday April 21 99
Yes, yes...you run along now.

joff at 13:20:14 Wednesday April 21 99

Keep your tiresome and unfounded insults off this page, J&J

Joff at 21:42:11 Tuesday April 20 99
I think you to Rowan should sort your life out with Mylene F Jenius

Rowan at 21:40:33 Tuesday April 20 99
Hey, it's hard to resist a good episode of neighbours

jerry at 21:17:8 Tuesday April 20 99
i agree with joff Mylene f Jenius should sort her life out.

JOFF at 21:11:47 Tuesday April 20 99
Mylene F Jenius, I suggest you give yourself a good shake & sort your life out.

Guy at 14:3:21 Tuesday April 20 99
oh yeah, and Ocean Colour Scene as Baldrick. (OK so not srictly a panto character but who cares?)_

Guy at 14:1:43 Tuesday April 20 99
Ingo, I don't know how on earth you can say that the Stereophonics album sounds the same from begining to end, have you heard it? Have you even read my review? It opens with loud cranky guitars, slows down into light-hearted pop and culminates in a mellow piano-based melody. The only two songs that sound similar on the album are 'Roll Up and Shine' and 'The Bartender and the Thief'. Word Gets Around was even more varied, but at the end of the day there's only so much you can do with One Bass, One Guitar and One Drummer. If you don't like it you just don't listen to it. Simple.

Greg. at 21:25:32 Monday April 19 99
Jazz Mann as Baron Hardup....

HeadCleaner at 20:53:42 Monday April 19 99
Good game, Rowan...what other band/artists can be described as panto characters?? Robbie Williams as Buttons? Courtney Love as Widow Twankey?? Cerys Matthews as the back end of a panto cow???? Over to you...

Rowan at 19:25:53 Monday April 19 99
Wishy-Washy pretty much describes Travis to a tee (oooooo)

Greg O'Keeffe. at 19:18:23 Sunday April 18 99
Yes Rowan, I'm from Liverpool, which is in the North-West last time I looked. Suede are doing brilliantly in the charts, they never fail to impress. I'm a little dissapointed by the next Travis single 'Driftwood', it's a bit wishy-washy.

Ingo at 15:34:49 Sunday April 18 99
Hi Keith, thanks for recommending 'Bis' in your singles reviews. Bought their album which came out here two weeks ago, and it's one of the best pop records I've heard for ages. Pure shiny 80's pop, it's just good fun for in between. By the way, innovative or not, I love the new 'Blur' album. There's not a single song on it which I don't like. Although the tracks maybe quite different, they go very well with each other. It's one of those albums that don't get boring because they sound all the same from the beginning to the end (like, sorry, the Stereophonics one ;-)).

Mylene at 20:45:44 Friday April 16 99
Rowan - you are sooooo right. They all look monkey-faced and scary in that damn new opening, although Joel looks as beautiful as ever...heheheh. Oh, and I LOVE GENE thanks very much, though their new album is nowhere near as good as the last two. Although I am sure they bath regularly and use deodorant and therefore do not stink.

Guy at 1:10:38 Thursday April 15 99
Gene stink.

Rowan at 21:30:55 Monday April 12 99
I'll pretend I didn't hear that (well, read it)

HeadCleaner at 14:45:27 Monday April 12 99
I got the LP review, Guy - I'll stick it up within the next day or 2...when the Ultrasound LP's out, I'll review that, and maybe the Blur one too. If you're lucky.

Guy at 1:15:10 Monday April 12 99
I have actually sent a Stereophonics album review to you three times, but the e-mail I'm using stinks like shite. If I can get it to you, you can put it up ASAP to keep miserable southerners like Rowan happy.

Rowan at 20:33:27 Sunday April 11 99
No offence Keith, but those album reviews are getting a bit old.

HeadCleaner at 20:19:13 Saturday April 10 99
He's not as Northern as me...

Rowan at 19:18:34 Saturday April 10 99
Hmmmmm, Greg, what offensive word rymes with 'cook'? tell me, are you northern or something?

Greg O'Keeffe. at 14:14:47 Saturday April 10 99
'Promises' by The Cranberries is afwul, it stinks. It makes be despair. They've had their time. I wish they'd(something that sounds like cook) off.

HeadCleaner at 20:5:30 Friday April 9 99
Sigh...if only I stayed in London - that's the only part of that job description I'm not qualified for.

Effie at 15:36:25 Friday April 9 99
Hello peeps, anyone heard of Volksway?? And if not why not? They're intergalactic and they spit on everything. They are the new now with the new sound (loud guitars, shouting glamma girls, samples, keyboards)and I'm rather fortunate to be the driving force behind it - Effie Galore, singer and guitarist extraordinaire. Pity about the no-drummer situation. I'm imploring any drummers out there in London-land who have a lust for stardom to e-mail me effie@volksway.freeserve.co.uk. We have so many galaxy-bursting songs it's driving us mad only being able to play them in our heads at the moment. Own equipment is essential but ability is optional. The only ability we care about is your drinking prowess, sense of humour and NEED for stardom. C ya, wouldn't want to B ya!

Rowan at 18:12:25 Thursday April 8 99
haha, the video is awful. I might have given the song a catchy 5/10. maybe.

HeadCleaner at 8:31:42 Wednesday April 7 99
Oh yes it is. You've not seen the video, have you?

Rowan at 20:12:8 Tuesday April 6 99
hehe, I was gonna say, the new cast single sounds OKish, but I changed my mind for fear of enternal mocking. Ahem, the, er Cranberries song isn't THAT bad keith! It has a certain catchiness about it don't you think? (It gets played all the time on XFM, alhthough obviously it wouldn't have but for Capital's devine intervention)

Guy at 16:38:2 Tuesday April 6 99
Keith, I'll send it again. Bloody e-mail keeps buggering me about. The New Radicals sound good, as does the new Cast single.

Rowan at 11:10:6 Tuesday April 6 99
Sorry, I've been away - looks like I missed a fair bit. Who started this whole thing off? We need another disscusion!!!! I can't be bothered to think of one, I'm going to bed. (yes, I know it's only 11:15 in the morning) I'll check back in for the singles reviews. Mylene - the Neighbours new start is sooooo terrible (I admit, that as awful as it is, I watch it)

HeadCleaner at 12:47:22 Monday April 5 99
Single reviews up tomorrow night...

HeadCleaner at 22:35:59 Sunday April 4 99
E-mail? What e-mail?

Guy at 16:54:49 Sunday April 4 99
I still think this is worth a live debate. If not just for the point in question, then just so we can all chat properly for once. Keith did you get the e-mail review I sent you?

Greg O'Keeffe. at 13:52:8 Saturday April 3 99
Let's just bury our differences, light a big fat one and hug. Come on you know you want to!

HeadCleaner at 21:1:22 Thursday April 1 99
Commendable sentiments from Miss Jenius indeed (especially that last one)

Mylene at 20:30:54 Thursday April 1 99
PS - I loathe Robbie Williams with an intense hatred and wish to assasinate him.

Mylene F. Jenius at 18:18:13 Thursday April 1 99
Well, of course I am out here, I'm just distraught over poor beautiful Joel in Neighbours. Well, frankly, I don't care who the song is by or what it consists of as long as I like it. I mean, my record collection - Steps and B*Witched sit next to Gene, Stereophonics, White Buffalo, Squarepusher, cheesy Japanese dance music, Japanese rock music, 70s robot themes from Japan and all kinds of other stuff. I don't care about credibility or anything like that. As long as I like the song, I'll listen to it or download it, or buy it. I couldn't give a toss what scene is about at the moment. Maybe that's just me though - I'm the same with everything. No wonder I get such odd looks on the street, because I don't care what anyone thinks of what I wear or what makeup I have, as long as I like it. Oh, and I like the Mr Oizo song - it's just silly dance music and I think it's cool. Oh, and Fatboy Slim is king (whereas Roman Coppola is god). Anyway, I don't think it matters what you listen to. It's up to you. If you like Steps and Boyzone, but everyone else likes Stereophonics and Mansun, you shouldn't be ashamed or even care. If you like Marylin Manson while evryone else likes Barenaked Ladies that shouldn't bother you either. That's my opinion...

Guy again at 11:15:47 Thursday April 1 99
April Fool!!!

Guy at 11:15:26 Thursday April 1 99
Ocean Colour Scene are really good now- I can't beleive it. I'm gonna go and buy their new album. And Kula Shaker.

Guy at 11:13:16 Thursday April 1 99
Unlucky Keith, you've just written another article. I have to disagree (again). The 'scene' at the minute is Pop. It's just none of us are that much into pop. Look at history, when Punk was about there were loads of punk bands, when the Beatles were about there were loads of rock'n'roll bands, when the Prodg were about it sparked off a dance scene revival. Just look at the amount of Popstars now- Billie, Steps, Robbie Williams, Boy Bands, All Saints, Spice Girls, Aaron Carter, The Moffats etc to name but a few. The bands you mention are all your usual run-of-the-mill rock bands that you will always get in the background, (manics, phonics, travis, etc). It's just a matter of where your focus lies. PS- Keith please let me know when/if you recieve my e-mail, I've been having a few probs with this account.

HeadCleaner at 8:13:28 Thursday April 1 99
To drift gently back to the point however, I think we all agree - musical taste is a personal thing. So if I like Mr Oizo and hate The Stereophonics; or refuse to be impressed by Sonic Youth writing a song using only one chord; or anything else I decide that I like on my own terms - then I am justified. The same way Guy's stance on tunes is valid, cos that's what moves him. The same way Rowan's preference for innovation and original musicianship is valid, cos that's what's important to him. Mylene - you out there? I'd be interested in your views on this...!

HeadCleaner at 8:7:44 Thursday April 1 99
This whole discussion probably hinges round one fact: that there is no "scene" happening at the moment. If punk, baggy, grunge, whatever was in full-swing, we wouldn't be having arguments about whether innovation is better than immediacy, etc. Instead, some of us would be saying - for example - "punk is great - everything else is shit" whilst the other half would be vehemently arguing the opposite. The fact we're having abstract discussions about what amounts to personal taste is a sad reflection on the state of the music industry at the moment - i.e. there's nothing better to talk about! For once, I agree with the usually pretentious NME in their No Sell Out feature - all the passion, radicalism and meaning has disappeared from "alternative" music. Instead we have on one hand the Manics peddling individualism for dummies, and on the other bands like Blur, Ultrasound, Phonics etc that, although commendable in their own way, are not really going to be remembered for affecting popular culture in the same way bands like Sex Pistols, The Smiths, Happy Mondays, etc ar

Guy at 21:53:48 Wednesday March 31 99
No No No No No No No! What does it matter what it consists of if it sounds good? Love them or loathe them, you can't tell me Steps sound bad in a club/party atmosphere, but they may be outy of place at a heavy metal club. If you want party music, you listen to party music old and new, if you like rock, you listen to rock old and new, if you listen to shit... OK, I see your point (and not because your trousers are too tight). But I just think bands like Ultrasound, Idlewild and other new bands may be original, but it sounds dreadful. I wouldn't say it matters whether they are innovative or not, sorry to keep repeating myself, but- IF IT SOUNDS GOOD IT SOUNDS GOOD!!! I think we should head for headchat to discuss this properly, name a time and I'll try and be there.

Bennett at 23:37:49 Tuesday March 30 99
Yes, it makes sense to judge a song by how it sounds and nothing else. But that can be hard in this MTV-inspired age, when the first chords of any Oasis song summon images of Gallaghers into my mind's eye, and send me running in blind panic. Something similar happens with the Manics, though that didn't stop me buying the mighty "You Stole the Sun" (but what was David Holmes on when he remixed that? Obviously something that severely impaired his hearing). But the real reason I'm writing this is to say no, I'm not the "Mum Has Gone to Iceland" Bennett. I was thinking of buying a Bennet shirt but that would be too daggy, as they say in Australia. The annoying thing is that if I ever form a band I can't use my own name for it. D'oh!

HeadCleaner at 8:45:29 Tuesday March 30 99
Damn - I should've made an article out of that...

HeadCleaner at 8:45:3 Tuesday March 30 99
Greg's summed it up quite nicely - it's all a matter of personal choice. Whilst the innovation of the lo-fi brigade (and significant others) is to be applauded, it is by no means a guarantee of a good song. A sizable amount of Sonic Youth's output is unlistenable muso tedium, for instance. On the other hand, bands that tread water whilst reinventing the wheel (Catatonia, a lot of the Phonics material, where the Manics now appear to be heading) should be lined up and shot for crimes against music - unless they have a few good tunes to use in their defence. The last thing a band should be is workmanlike and unremarkable. However, bands should not lose sight of making something vaguely enjoyable also. Pixies, Urusei Yatsura, Ultrasound, Radiohead, Sebadoh, Eels, Ooberman etc are examples of those tha t have managed to create something both innovative and enjoyable. However, for each one of these bands, there are hundreds of lesser souls snapping around their heels. Whilst this can throw up a lot of dross, every now and again a "Bartender And The Thief" comes up, that - no matter what chords it uses - still grabs you by the throat. So whilst personal pet hates can often not be overcome, it is probably better to look at each song on its own merits, with a view to seeing if it moves you or not. And whether that movement be in your head, your heart or your feet (thank you Mr Oizo), it shouldn't matte

Greg O'Keeffe. at 23:5:57 Monday March 29 99
It all depends on what you want. The reason Silver Sun, Stereophoics etc. are more commercially viable than Sonic Youth, Ultrasound is because they're easier to listen to. They require less effort. Personally it depends on my mood, if I want to listen to Sonic Youth - I will, and if I feel a little poppier I'll stick some 'Phonics on. The guitar should be treated as an object as innovation - but not at the overall songs exspense. Radiohead never produce crap noodling. An album of that wouldn't sell.

Rowan at 19:46:36 Monday March 29 99
please add your twopence worth to the disscussion keith :)

Rowan at 19:45:16 Monday March 29 99
Well, obviously, I don't like these bands - because of what they sound of. The bands we've mentioned like oasis, manics (now), silver sun, sterophonics to name but a few - their problem is probably that they are analysing their music too much in a way. There's just no spontenuity (sic) about it - it's all too polished. Ultrasound used to sound far far too polished on record but this version of floodlit world is just amazing! It seriously sounds like they recorded it straight to tape...it's so much better than the previous version on their first single. I'm not saying that I only like these bands because they tune their guitars differently at all. What I am saying is that tuning differently makes them play differently and at the end of the day makes them sound different...original. If you make up your own insane guitar tunings, like sonic youth did, then chances are you aint gonna sound like too much else out there. Oasis, Silver Sun, Stereophonics (I know - sorry to use the same examples) they all sound so 'standard' far to normal and boring. Ok, some of their songs may be OK, a bit catchy, have the odd good hook, but in the end, they all merge into one, humungous EADGBE pile of s*&^

Guy at 22:44:42 Sunday March 28 99
Rowan, personally I would say your musical tastes have evolved backwards. I don't really think it matters what a group does with it's guitars, if it sounds good, who cares if it's not innovative or new? I've had this argument with one of my flat mates several times and eventually he's give in. I think you analyse music too much and should take it for what it sounds like, not what it consists of. Of course I'm not telling you what to like or how you should regard music, everone has their own point of view, but I think you should think about it a bit, my flatmate did, and now he likes the Stereophonics as opposed to hating them.

Rowan at 21:39:28 Sunday March 28 99
Surprise surprise...'Flat beat' is number 1. I can't really understand it -it's pathetic. I've got nothing against this kind of dance music - fatboy slim for example writes some great stuff. But, at the end of the day this tune is just really dull. People just think they're being 'cool' becuase they think the advert is cool. What is it with these levi's adverts. Infact, the levis advert isn't even really that entertaining...

Greg O'Keeffe at 14:27:37 Sunday March 28 99
You can add the magnificent Sebadoh to your list Rowan, they're still doing it. 'Harmacy' is my favourite album so far. I know we've been through this, I'm no Silver sun diehard to be honest, but what have you all got against 'em? Whilst Weezer, and Fountains of wayne do the whole power pop thing better - the 'sun have written some catchy tunes.

Rowan at 20:6:6 Saturday March 27 99
Actually, I totally agree...I shouldn't have mentioned radiohead - can you edit that bit out :)

HeadCleaner at 20:3:27 Friday March 26 99
Of the more recent bands you mention though Rowan, I would argue that Radiohead are still doing pretty innovative stuff. Manics and Stereophonics are pub rock bands in comparison.

HeadCleaner at 20:2:8 Friday March 26 99
Pixies are one of my all-time favourite bands....they were one of the first groups since punk to take music and make it sound dangerous again. Doolittle is probably the most played vinyl LP I own...scratched to fuck, but I still dig it out again..."slicing up eyeballs, I want you to know"...different class.

Rowan at 17:22:38 Friday March 26 99
Yeah, I've got slanted and enchanted keith, I think it's great. My music taste has evolved in the past 6 months or so....I used to really like bands like the manics, radiohead and stereophonics. I'm now far more into stuff like urusei yatsura, sonic youth, pavement, pixies....etc....I just think that the latter bunch of bands are so much more imaginative with thier guitars...using different tunings and stuff...lo-fi I believe it's called. Sooooo much better than silver shit (aka silver sun)

Guy at 23:20:33 Tuesday March 23 99
Primus are pretty cool from what I've heard. Apart from the cheesy South Park intro...

Anon at 17:22:14 Tuesday March 23 99
Hey kids do you like Primus?

Guy at 13:57:26 Tuesday March 23 99
Yeah, I agree Rowan. The advert's fantatsic but the music's shit. Incidently you can download the adverts at: http://www.eu.levi.com/storage/orginal-needs-stuff/ and find out for yourself what's so great about it.

Rowan at 19:5:38 Monday March 22 99
I don't see what all the fuss is with all this levi advert song nosence...then again I never was much of a dance fan. Pixies anyone?

HeadCleaner at 23:15:44 Friday March 19 99
Pavement...I was into them about 5 years ago..."Slanted And Enchanted" was their best LP, I seem to recall. They were at their height for me when the grunge thing was happening...not heard much of their stuff recently though, I have to admit.

HeadCleaner at 23:13:50 Friday March 19 99
Robin Banks...there's a woman at my work called Eileen Forward...I swear...

Rowan at 22:49:2 Friday March 19 99
Yep, I've heard all those songs on XFM, which surprisingly still seems to have some fairly decent shows like exposure. I still don't think they should have a DJ called 'Robin Banks' (think about it). Has anyone heard any Pavement stuff?

GREG O'KEEFFE. at 16:55:45 Friday March 19 99
'Denise' by Fountains of Wayne is out soon and it's ace. Anybody heard any of the Everlast album (Whitey ford sings the blues)? Guy, I'd be interested to see what James Broard would do alone, perhaps he's got some Brian Wilson aspirations. You must have heard 'My name is' by Eminem now?

Guy at 22:25:53 Wednesday March 17 99
I also remember the Bennett song- what a load of shite. Have to agree with Keith on the Placebo point though, the first album was brilliant but their latest offerings are sounding pretty tired, with the exception of 'Pure Morning'.

Rowan at 18:13:55 Wednesday March 17 99
Oh, silver sun are still together? damn. Mylene - I too remember the bennet song with a certain fondness :)

HeadCleaner at 6:10:3 Wednesday March 17 99
Aw shite, sorry Guy - I totally forgot (sheepish grin)...I'll get them sorted out this week!

Guy at 1:17:25 Wednesday March 17 99
Keith, I don't mean to be pushy, but where are my CDs? Silver Sun HAVEN'T disbanded! In fact they're very much alive and auditioning for a new drummer! James Broad is also releasing a solo single soon, should be great!

HeadCleaner at 19:12:57 Tuesday March 16 99
All my Placebo records are under my bed too - that's where I chuck everything I can't be bothered listening to anymore...

Mylene F. Jenius at 18:7:35 Tuesday March 16 99
Are you the same Bennett who released the literally fab "Mum's Gone To Iceland"? (shut up, you lot, I liked it, okay?) No? Well, no harm in asking, was there.... I have found my Placebo CD (under my bed) so I'm off to listen to that now. Byebye.

Bennett at 23:15:48 Monday March 15 99
Keith, thanks for making "Action and Drama" single of the week... your rave made me buy it; now it doesn't want to leave my CD player. Put me down for the album (Looks as if Manda Rin is spending money on her haircuts now). The last-but-one Belle and Sebastian album "...Sinister" is marvellous. It's music to mourn budgies by. Apparently they are even better than Steps!

Rowan at 20:21:57 Friday March 12 99
XFM have been playing quite a few Blur songs off the new album and they've all been really good (and that's on first listen, which is sometimes a bit strange). I don't have any other Blur albums, but I'm considering this. (When I get some cash :)

lisa fraser at 2:48:58 Friday March 12 99
Just found your zine. I live in San Francisco, our scene here, and the US in general is more dismal than I thought possible. Looking for inspiration, new bands etc.

HeadCleaner at 18:46:12 Thursday March 11 99
Sounds ace...I'm off to get digital tv now...(I wish)

Mylene at 18:8:46 Thursday March 11 99
Well, it's a work of genius. Basically you go to M2's website and choose 14 videos (which lasts an hour) and they put up a schedule on their website of when each set of vids will be played. Mine contains Ash, Marion, Pizzicato Five, A, Bluetones, Mazzy Star, and some others which I can't remember cos I'm crap. It's a thing of beauty, baby. They put your name and occupation up after every three videos, too. But they got mine wrong, so I'm a student now. They've actually already shown the playlist once, but their tapes messed up, so my Gene and Teenage Fanclub videos were cut and instead we got a black screen for several minutes, then an Oasis video. OASIS! ONE OF MY MOST HATED OF BANDS! How ridiculous. They better play it right tomorrow, or I'll cry, then complain, then shoot them all, the hobby idiots. Anyway. Must end this stupidly long message now. Byebye.

Mylene - tell us more about your playlist hour for us poor unfortunates who don't have digital yet...

HeadCleaner at 21:48:29 Wednesday March 10 99
You leave my sporty spice thing out of it, matey...

Greg. at 19:53:58 Wednesday March 10 99
The Beach Boys influences are out for all to see in 'At my most beautiful' and it's all the better for it. Seen the video? The unluckiest chello player in thw world. Went to see Terrance Mallicks 'The Thin Red Line' yesterday - it's essential. Go see it. Btw, got a mail from Ooberman singer Danny yesterday, lucky guy, on a jumbo on his way to Miami. Oh yeah, meanwhile Mantra will be playing a public toilet near you - SOON (or maybe just the Loamx this Saturday) Funny how the most obviously attractive one in Steps (blonde one don't know her name) is nobody's fave. Mines Lisa, though I could never see Keith's sporty spice thing!!

Mylene Jenius at 18:8:47 Tuesday March 9 99
Could everyone who is able, please watch my playlist hour on M2 (channel 632) on Sky Digital on Friday at 3pm. Thank you.

Guy at 23:2:0 Monday March 8 99
Whoa! You sure feel for Steps don't you! New Phonics album is brilliant- "I Wouldn't Believe Your Radio", "Is Yesterday, Tomorrow, Today", "T-Shirt Suntan" and the opening track (can't remember what it's called) are the standout tracks. Ah one, ah two, ah one two three four...

Glad to see you are Lisa from Steps fan - everyone else seems to like Claire but Lisa is by the far the fittest. Steps rule!

Bought the Presidents of the USA's first album last week. It's amazing! Stereophonics new album released on Monday, hope everyone's reserved a copy!

Hmmm...I don't hold truck with the "all x's songs sound the same" argument - you could say that of any band, be it Radiohead, Idlewild, Steps, The Prodigy or whoever. All bands have a distinctive sound, which you either like or don't. Now Skunk Anansie are neither my fave group, nor the best band in the world, but "Charlie Big Potato" - when compared to the admittedly poor competition this week - reigns supreme with its gargantuan riff and ballsy emotion. So there.

All S'n'A songs sound exactly the same. That guitarist bloke likes his phaser effect too much.
