Muse, eh. A mere week ago I would have been screaming my hatred for them at you all and mocking you with asperity, but blatantly heard "Unintended" on the radio the other day and practically started crying cos it's so so so so gorgeous. Bah!! Not a Radiohead rip-off - for me, far more emotive and beautiful than anything Radiohead have done, and I'm a big RH fan as well. So, my opinion was changed a little...and then I went and grabbed an mp3 of "Sunburn" as well and was amazed that I have shunned them for so long!! My god. Well, still only heard those two songs but I am stunningly impressed! Curses, they played down here several times but I spurned them for my own foolish causes...oh indeed. Look how I curse!! Well, anyway. Greg (was it Greg?), when are they playing the Leadmill? Might try to make it to that one if I'm free of the burden of college via the gift of the holiday...haHA! Oh indeed.

Malibu, if you put your email address into the Email field above, then it turns your name green and if you click on it you can send that person mail with messages of gratitude, praise, offers of undying affection, etc

Sorry folks - singles up tomorrow night (too busy listening to Britney's new LP...)

Guy at 13:45:58 Monday May 15 2000
Just be grateful none of you lot support Leicester and engaged on a 2 and half hour bus journey to see them play their worst game for 25 years.

Greg M. O'Keeffe at 22:32:16 Sunday May 14 2000
Going to see Muse in June at the Leadmill in Sheffield. Should be a good gig, even if their new single 'Unintended' is the most blatant Radiohead rip off I have ever heard. Even the falsetto and strummed acoustics. Also thinking of going to see 'Grandaddy', does anybody have their album 'The Sophtware slump?' Also nursing a sore head. Just drink lots of water. It helps. Trust me. And Everton went and got beat.

HeadCleaner at 20:28:40 Sunday May 14 2000
This site's been around in one shape or form since 1996. No tales from the front line spring to mind - it's all been a lot of fun, and I have gotten to speak to a couple of cool folks I've been a fan of (David Gedge from the Wedding Present / Cinerama). If only Britney would answer my emails then I'd be one happy HeadCleaner. And I can't remember exactly what I did at the weekend, but the extent of my hangover today suggests I wasn't exactly on my best behaviour...

malibu at 20:24:19 Sunday May 14 2000
Just how long has this site been around headcleaner? Like to regale (I don't know if that's spelled right:)us with any war tales, huh? Anyway I'd just like to request AGAIN if any of you funky chicks like muse? They're really good you know, not quite in the weezer field but good all the same. OOOOH, and to any LEEDS UTD supports; we're in the european championships hurrah!!!!! Hope everyone had a fun weekend and didn't indulge in anything naughty or illegal (how can I think that of any of you?!) Tara tan toc xxxxx

HeadCleaner at 14:30:3 Friday May 12 2000
Thanks Guy. I can remember when all this was fields, you know.

Guy at 13:45:30 Friday May 12 2000
Message to 'the real headcleaner'- if your site's so damn good why don't you let us know where it is then we can all have a look and see. I also very much doubt you've been around as long as Keith. (so to speak)

malibu at 20:54:7 Thursday May 11 2000
Thanks for the song Matt, now I am happy! And I really am a fool with computers so I'll remember the advice (even if I did detect a hint of sarcasm dear.) And how would you cyber suck dick?! any sugestions anybody?!! Anyway I think I'll go sing along to rem with my newly found words, hurrah for me!!!! Oh, anyone like muscle museum by muse? HeadCleaner at 13:22:52 Thursday May 11 2000
Bring it on - see you in court.

Mylene F. Jenius at 12:49:10 Thursday May 11 2000
Just a point. Everybody should go find RealAudio or mp3s of Dragon Ash and Brilliant Green cos they are both incredible. Go for "The Day Dragged On", "Rainy Day and Day" and "Grateful Day" by Dragon Ash. Oh classy. And by the way, Napster is blatantly incredible...

the real headcleaner at 12:1:10 Thursday May 11 2000
Thanks for nicking our name dickheads. You will be hearing from our lawyers in the near future. Thankyou for youe time. A friend(not)

Matt at 5:38:37 Wednesday May 10 2000
The song about the circus in your head and the bright yellow gun is... Bright Yellow Gun by Throwing Muses. You DID have to connect to the internet to get to this site, right? There are these miraculous devices called "search engines" out there that can let you find (or "search") for just about anything you want... Software, recipes, pornography, even song lyrics! Just FYI.

Guy at 15:36:42 Monday May 8 2000
Hi again everyone. I think my fave Weezer songs are 'The World Has Turned and Left Me Here', 'Accross the Sea', and 'Holiday'. Funny you should say that Greg, I've just had the Weezer tab book imported from America! As for harmonies, yeah I can sing them, however whether you mean in tune or not...

HeadCleaner at 21:46:45 Saturday May 6 2000
Thanks Mal...I feel I must publicly apologise for the lack of updates recently though. My work has been so stressful of late that I have been neglecting the site of late. I shall strive to put that right soon...keep the faith.

malibu at 18:58:58 Saturday May 6 2000
Yeah, I wish someone had told me that ages ago, I always thought that 'Leonard Bernstein' was 'Land, Earth, Burn, Sun'. Well, hey, it sure sounds like thats what Michael Stipe is singing! Thanks Headcleaner. And by the way, I love this site (and I'm not trying to cyber-suck your dick or anything) but there are some pretty cool people on here! Right, now I'm going to watch tv and eat some pizza. Have a nice Saturday guys!

Greg O'Keeffe at 15:7:21 Saturday April 29 2000
Keith, could you do me a massive favour and give me an interview sometime to help boost my light-weight portfolio? About HeadCleaner etc.. Life as a young, happening dot.com millionaire with a lifestyle of sheer rock'nroll hedonism.

Greg O'Keeffe at 15:1:59 Saturday April 29 2000
ABOUT BLOODY TIME. I knew Weezer would eventually get the recognition they deserve. Alright, they are not earth shatteringly important, but when I bought 'Weezer' I couldn't stop playing it for months. 'Pinkerton' was criminally underatted. Apparently after a long sabattical (Rivers Cuomo went to College) they're working on a third album. This makes me very happy. I know Keith will be stifling yawns at the mention of such 'geek rock' (whoever thought of that tag should be shot) but put it this way: Buddy Holly or All the small things? And, Spike Jonze directed the Buddy Holly vid. Anybody get the impression I kinda like Weezer? Guy, I'm coming to Leicester and we're forming a Weezer covers band, can you do high harmonies??

Guy at 16:33:57 Friday April 28 2000
Some might say that wouldn't be decending for you Keith... Malibu - Weezer are brilliant. I've just bought the tab book to the first album cos I love them so much! And the Eels album is still brilliant!

HeadCleaner at 13:4:55 Wednesday April 26 2000
Must be something to do with easter - there was absolutely bog all out this week. Not even I descended to the depths of buying the new Lolly single...

malibu at 20:41:16 Tuesday April 25 2000
does anyone know what song it is that has the lyric "Theres a circus in my head in the middle of my bed" and lots of other babbling about a yellow handgun. Its reaaalllyyy gooood but I dont know who its by or what its called so I'm v. sad over it.Does anyone like veruca salt, by the way? I thought I'd change my band babbling from Muse for once!Or what about Weezer?! GEEK ROCK FOREVER!!! TA-TA CHICKS!!

Mylene F. Jenius at 16:48:38 Sunday April 23 2000
I think you'll all find, all of you, that Holy Bible (the Manics album, not the religion thing) is the greatest thing ever. Well, I was too young to appreciate when it came out, OK? Just discovering them now...hehe, and I'm loving every minute of it. Also, "I'm in the mood for Dancing" by the Nolans is quite possibly the sound of heaven. Oh indeed. Oh indeed, indeed. Do not mock me for this post, you fools!!!!

Guy at 20:19:55 Saturday April 22 2000
Just thought, like, I'd add a few, errr, commas to that er, sentance, Ok, good.

Guy at 20:18:43 Saturday April 22 2000
No, but I've just bought the new Eels album, it's not quite as suicidal as Electro-Shock Blues, in fact I may even go as far as saying it's quite a happy album. Check out http://talk.to/da_hand for a full review next week.

Greg O'Keeffe at 12:20:30 Friday April 21 2000
Big up to your uncle Greg. You're right, despite the effects - Jack rocks. Has anybody bought the new Elliott Smith album yet? I want to, but his stuff is always so depressing!

malibu at 21:36:51 Thursday April 20 2000
Lucky ion going to see Muse! I'd go but I've no money and I 'm claustrophobic so I'm buggered anyway. Have a nice time oh lucky one! And J ack D aniels might mash your brain but it tastes nice Greg o'Keeffe.I've got an uncle called Greg y'know. Anyway ta-ta lovely ones!

Greg O'keeffe at 20:11:38 Tuesday April 18 2000
didgy homophobis - sounds like some long extinct mammal. That's Jack Daniel's for you. Mashes your brain.

Anon at 20:10:26 Tuesday April 18 2000
of course that would be 'dodgy' and 'homophobic'. I'm having problems today.

Greg O'Keeffe at 20:8:46 Tuesday April 18 2000
Cypress Hill are fantastic. Why shouldn't they take the best of both genres and weld one ace track? Wait for the new Jurrasic 5 album though, it's meant to be less daisy-age than the first, darker and edgier. They give the 'hill a run for their money. Anyone read their didgy homophobis comments in the NME though?

Guy at 15:1:13 Tuesday April 18 2000
That Cypress Hill Track is Wicked, Bo.

HeadCleaner at 11:15:1 Monday April 17 2000

Muse are great, and I can't wait to see them on 29th of May.

Malibu at 23:55:56 Sunday April 9 2000
Oooh! Have just bought Muse album Showbiz. Muse are one of the most talented new (well kind of new, newish if you get what I mean, anyway,)bands about. If your gonna buy a new cd soon get Showbiz. Oh and why does everyone argue over slipknot (you, know, that bunch of scary guys in masks singing about fucking the world)so much?! Why don't you argue over important stuff like whether red jelly is better than green or why you put bread in the toaster and toast comes up! Where does the bread go!!! These are important questions!

Greg O'Keeffe at 22:20:33 Sunday April 9 2000
Has any of you seen 'Easy Rider'? There is this song on the soundtrack which is superb but I haven't got a clue who it is by. It's got the line 'Going down to Nazareth..' and the chorus goes..'Take a load of Fanny, you're gonna wait a long time for me..' It sounds like The Doobie Brothers or the Byrds. Somebody tell me!

HeadCleaner at 16:47:15 Sunday April 9 2000
I'm off on a training course all next week - no single reviews, sorry.

Guy at 23:38:12 Friday April 7 2000
Good to see you've not let the Bloodhound Gang do acheive what they wanted...

Martine at 12:0:25 Wednesday April 5 2000
Are the Steeophonics touring in the U.K this year? If so when?

HeadCleaner at 8:7:13 Tuesday April 4 2000

Apologies for the lack of updates over the past 2 weeks...normal service will be resumed next week - honest.

Greg O'Keeffe at 13:43:58 Thursday March 30 2000
The problem about Ooberman is that the geniuses at Radio One decided not to playlist Shorley Wall (which deserves at least B listing) Hence, it won't get much airplay unless Jo Whiley and Mark Radcliffe play it voluntarily. I saw them at the Leadmill in Sheffield last Saturday and they were superb. They do seem to have a pool of devoted fans now, which will be helpful. It would be shit for such an optimistic band to split up becuase of a radio station. Apparently Sophia burst into tears reading that poem once, she didn't do it at Sheffiled. 'Wasteland of souls' was good though.

Kathy at 21:55:26 Wednesday March 29 2000
ooberman review in nme SHORELY WALL shorely wall starts with a pleading hopeless answer phone message before exploding into a magical twinkly anthem about lost love and big, overwhelming emotions is suffocating small towns. Soaring along a dreamy melodic refrain, it then shifts up another gear for co vocalist sophia churney's crushingly romantic fade out speech: she delights in torture / but holds my hand and never sheilds me / because the best shield is to accept the pain / then what can really destroy me? sophia sounds like she's on the verge of tears, and there's a good chance you will be too. an effortlessly trancendant, timelessly beautifull, quietly devastating record this totally made my day! go out and buy nme cos there is also a huge interveiw with ooberman in there and the final treasure hunt clue Ooberman's Shorley Wall is OUT NOW!!

HeadCleaner - how to win friends and influence people (and gits). Bah. SOTW this week will be Moloko without a shadow of doubt - class.

ion at 12:47:25 Tuesday March 21 2000
I see

mark at 9:33:8 Monday March 20 2000
When Keith said "And who said we were friends?", he was just trying to annoy me, the git.

Ion at 15:15:28 Sunday March 19 2000
it was said in the review "Headcleaner clued me in (don't I always? - HeadCleaner). He fished his MiniDisc walkman out of the recesses of his coat. "Listen to this," he told me, " so I thought you must no each other

HeadCleaner at 12:17:50 Sunday March 19 2000
No single reviews til the end of the week - I'm off to London for a few days.

ion at 19:3:17 Saturday March 18 2000
I got that impression. one of you must have said something, I think it was something in the review.

Guy at 18:50:10 Friday March 17 2000
Yeah - you printed my reviews!

mark at 9:39:2 Friday March 17 2000
Damn, now I have to rewrite my review of Lambchop's "Nixon" ... who peeked?

HeadCleaner at 9:20:18 Friday March 17 2000
I wish. And who said we were friends? Ion - more than happy to publish anything that is more than "It was really good and I liked it and they're my favourite band and I liked it cos they were really good".

mark at 8:51:18 Friday March 17 2000
Hey, are you claiming favouritism here? Keith didn't publish my review just because we're friends. I had to pay him *loads* of money too.

ion at 19:42:59 Thursday March 16 2000
oops. blame my computer.

ion at 19:42:31 Thursday March 16 2000
would you accept gig reviews from anyone, if the quality is good?

ion at 19:41:30 Thursday March 16 2000
I was wondering if you'd welcome gig reviews from anyone, if they are of good quality. Or is it just friends?

ion at 19:41:8 Thursday March 16 2000

I can't believe you didn't like The Beach...

HeadCleaner at 8:36:52 Thursday March 16 2000
That Link Exchange banner on the front page allows me to see how many hits the site is getting each day.

ion at 23:10:23 Wednesday March 15 2000

HeadCleaner at 9:50:1 Wednesday March 15 2000

HeadCleaner at 14:7:46 Monday March 13 2000
Off to see Primal Scream tonight - single reviews up tomorrow.

HeadCleaner at 9:13:38 Saturday March 11 2000
Averages out around 50 a day, ion. Not vast numbers, I know, but enough to keep it worthwhile for me.

ion at 23:12:51 Friday March 10 2000
have you any idea how many people visit the site?

Guy at 17:15:34 Tuesday March 7 2000
How ironic Keith, I've just sat down with my new Stereophonics/Tom Jones single and I read your comments. And Slipknot really have got to you all haven't they? Keith's right - they've got you just how they want you!! Bollocks to Muse as well.

ion at 22:57:53 Sunday March 5 2000
Slipknot are.... they just annoy me now. Before i was willing to give them a chance, but why didn't they do something special on TFI? I was more impressed by Muse's performance last week. But Muse are an infinately better band anyway. So I should have expected it. Muse have the music and the show. I used to think Slipknot had the latter, but not anymore.

HeadCleaner at 23:31:10 Saturday March 4 2000
Greg, old mate - the very fact you're so worked up about Slipknot means they've achieved on of their goals 100%...

Greg. at 18:37:43 Saturday March 4 2000
You've all missed the point about slipknot. What is 'vital' about a bunch of fucked up middle America trailer trash trotting out sub Nirvana shite. It's awful. And, for a moment lets prestend they're fabulous agenda is genuine. They had their big stage on TFI Friday and they didn't even trash their kit. Greenday trash their kit. What differentiates these from Marilyn Manson? Tell me that? Guy, those Travis chords are on the way.

HeadCleaner at 14:32:45 Friday March 3 2000
Easy for you to say...you'll be telling me you like that Tom Jones/Stereophonics nonsense next...

Guy at 14:26:46 Friday March 3 2000
She's got a point!

HeadCleaner at 9:52:56 Thursday March 2 2000
Steady on now...

Mylene F. Jenius at 9:23:0 Thursday March 2 2000
I know, I know. Shower me with praises, my beauties, for I am your queen! Mwahahaahhaaa! Um....that Daphne and Celeste, eh. Gah. Ha..ha..ha.

HeadCleaner at 19:9:39 Wednesday March 1 2000
Mylene! It's just not been the same without you...

Mylene F. Jenius at 9:43:39 Wednesday March 1 2000
PS - I have not heard Slipknot yet but they look foolish and slightly scary so therefore - no thank you.

Mylene F. Jenius at 9:42:25 Wednesday March 1 2000
Hello darlings! Have you missed me? I'll bet you have, so no negative comments please! Well, well. What a state music is in at the moment. Am I correct? I have not bought a NEW album or single for many weeks - I've bought OLD albums I have wanted for ages, but nothing new. Hmmmm. NME and Melody Maker - there is rarely anything of interest to me....wait, I tell a lie, I bought "Don't Falter" by Mint Royale and the lovely lovely Lauren (my heroine). So hmmm. Even Catatonia released their greatest song and felt the need to destroy it via a horrible horrible remix (Karaoke Queen). I'm telling you, all you are wanting is to be listening to Japanese music. I am telling you!! It is the future! You must listen to cheesy cheesy idol singers and love them! LOVE THEM!! Well.......am I right? Or am I wrong? This debate has been had many times before, I know, but...wagh! My brain needs some good new music to function properly! It's not fair. At all.

HeadCleaner at 21:6:30 Tuesday February 29 2000
I've been listening to Slipknot on the way into work in the mornings. It's like sticking your head inside a tumble drier. And therefore fantastic. Gets a bit much after a while though.

Guy at 17:39:5 Tuesday February 29 2000
Slipknot aren't supposed to be punk. They're an alternative metal band. And they don't give a shit about music, they're all about image. How come you didn't know that?

HeadCleaner at 14:22:25 Monday February 28 2000
You'll be used to this by now...this week's single reviews will be up tomorrow.

GREG M. O'KEEFFE at 13:45:47 Saturday February 26 2000
On the other hand, and I mean this, Daphne and Celeste are true punks. Think about it. Whiny, insidious, annoying yet vital. Never played on radio. Punk has evolved in these popped up days.

GREG M. O'KEEFFE at 13:42:44 Saturday February 26 2000
SLIPKNOT - Having recently had to review 'Wait and bleed' by Slipknot I have come to the conclusion that they are fucking awful. Not punk in the slightest. No political or relevant message, just self-destructive redknecks with a fetsih for stupid masks. They really are laughable, and so 'big' for jumping off 20ft. balconies at their live shows. So whAT? With a bit of luck they'll all kill themselves on stage when they're next in 'the zone' man....Oh and the music. Third rate NiN. Still, as Alan Partridge once said, "I won't let it get to me." Fucking idiots.

Guy at 14:55:39 Monday February 21 2000
Ok, I did. And it was shit. But you've got your visitor number now and that's all you're after really isn't it? You could have at least put some music on there or something to make it worthwhile.

HeadCleaner at 10:12:7 Friday February 11 2000
American Beauty is indeed a fine film - look out for a review on Screen Scene at the weekend.

Greg O'Keeffe. at 16:0:42 Thursday February 10 2000
American Beauty is superb. If you haven't see it, believe the reviews. It's a really clever, funny, sad film. That Peter Kay thing is funny as well, ven if he did ruin The Sixth sense for me. Just bought the best of Dean Martin. That man could sing.

Greg O'Keeffe at 15:57:14 Thursday February 10 2000
Brass-eye was class. That Peter Kay thing is also quite funny, even if he did ruin The Sixth sense for me. American Beauty is superb. If you haven't seen it, believe the reviews.

Trigger Happy's ok - the general public are an easy target though. Brass Eye was better.

Greg O'Keeffe at 21:37:31 Sunday January 30 2000
I still have a sore head Keith, and those messages were last week. Interested in your review otvf sixth sense. I thought i was a top film, but Peter Kay ruined it for me by revealing the twist on Mark and Lard - the twat. Nevermind- how funny is Trigger happy?

raaaaarchibald at 18:37:23 Saturday January 29 2000
when are these album reviews a' coming?

Guy at 14:52:46 Friday January 28 2000
Sorry- I seem to have turned into my Grandad.

Guy at 14:52:0 Friday January 28 2000
In my day Indie meant independant, however kids nowadays just have no idea. Tut, tut, tut, oh thems were the days...

HeadCleaner at 14:3:40 Friday January 28 2000
Everyone should have their own definition of what "alternative" means. "Indie", on the other hand, is a different matter...

Guy at 12:7:36 Friday January 28 2000
Alternative is simply a matter of opinion, to me dance music could be considered alternative 'cos I think it's shit. Actually I have a far more reasonable debate for that but I can't be arsed to type it out. It's certainly alternative to what my flatmates and myself listen to.

andrew at 22:21:25 Thursday January 27 2000
oooh! lets have a debate! what exactly *is* alternative music? is there any such thing? surely it's all relative? i dunno. umm. this debating thing is way too much effort.

HeadCleaner at 18:8:53 Thursday January 27 2000
Yes, I'm sure a few people are wondering that...mostly alternative with a sprinkling of pop on top.

Claire Doran at 17:52:18 Thursday January 27 2000
I was wondering if you could tell me if the top 30 class singles that you printed are based on alternative music, as i am doing an essay on alternative music and i'm getting a bit stuck on what it actually is. Thankyou

sorry, a bit pissed.

Greg O'Keeffe at 22:37:51 Tuesday January 25 2000
Who here has read The Beach? I was speaking to onr bloke in the pub who read it on a beach in Thailand, how cool is that? I cannot wait to see 'Summer of Sam' , John Leguizamo is the man, anybody who saw him as benny blanco in 'Carlito's way' knows that. Lauren Laverne is hot, no argument, and don't falter is just so sweet. The video rips off 'Go' though. Cheers. Greg.

Guy at 14:44:5 Monday January 24 2000
That song by Toploader's pretty damn funky. Makes a change from the rest of the shite in the charts at the mo anyway.

HeadCleaner at 19:18:39 Sunday January 23 2000

HeadCleaner at 17:45:4 Tuesday January 18 2000
No, the reviews should be there - are the archived reviews displaying ok?

Guy at 15:42:52 Tuesday January 18 2000
Slipknot!?! Thought that stuff was a bit TOO alternative for you Keith! Anyway, might just be my browser (IE5) but the single reviews appear as blank. Either it's an error or a really bad joke by Keith. ("Back and fully Y2K compliant"...?)

HeadCleaner at 22:53:15 Monday January 17 2000
Stay tuned for reviews of the Beck and Slipknot LPs...

GREG O'KEEFFE at 1:7:42 Wednesday January 12 2000
Glad to see a band like Travis, who were criticised from all corners pre99, finally getting the recognition they deserve. They may not see shapes when they argue, but their records have a quality to them which belies all your credibility nonsense. Plaintativenes? Magic? Who knows? But heres hoping album no.3 is just as good. Oh and the 'Handsome boy modelling school' album is cool. Oh yeah, how could I forget, belated seasons greetings and happy new year to you all!!!!

HeadCleaner at 10:26:46 Monday January 10 2000
Circumstances outwith my control mean I will not be able to get to the record shops until at least Wednesday...single reviews are therefore unavoidably delayed (don't think there's much out apart from the Manics single anyway)

Dusty at 18:6:33 Friday January 7 2000
seeing as everyone here really appreciates good music (well, not always and not absolutely everyone, but it doesn't matter...), i have something for you to check out. go to this url here: http://www.geocities.com/SunsetStrip/Stage/9346/gr_bands_2.html and click on the band names with the 'realaudio' sign next to them. Listen to whatever you want and tell me what you think. I especially recommend Raining Pleasure, Sigmatropic, Bokomolech and mainly Closer. The latter have just got signed to Chrysalis, and their new cd-single has just been released Europe-wide, as will be their next album. They are the best new greek band. Do you think they could be succesful in Britain, the way dEUS are? i'm curious to know your opinions. thanx in advance.

HeadCleaner at 6:28:4 Friday January 7 2000
Cheers...it was one of my new year's resolutions...

Guy at 23:33:51 Thursday January 6 2000
Bloody hell Keith - you've actually done some work on the website!!! But seriously, I like it!

HeadCleaner at 21:8:57 Wednesday January 5 2000
Thanks mum - glad to know you're still enjoying the zine.

...is of no consequence at 15:16:34 Wednesday January 5 2000
Fascistic little bastard, aren't U? I'll keep it short and to the point. DON'T slag off Alisha's Attic, coz if I ever see U (Highly unlikely, I know, but U never can tell...), I'll be forced to shove a stepladder up your arse, and do all manner of unspeakable things afterwards, involving your pain and blood. Don't get me, wrong, I like a lot of the other stuff that appears on here, but I also happen to like Aa too, coz they're wierd, and wierd is good. So just watch it! TOSSER!

Guy at 17:6:2 Tuesday January 4 2000
Not too much to disagree with in the top 30, although I'm suprised Travis only got one entry, doubly suprised that 'Why Does It Always Rain On Me?' missed out altogether.

Hop Litzwire at 6:10:2 Tuesday January 4 100
Ever heard of Neo-New Wave? Neither have I, but that's what they're calling us. Visit us at www.adventuresofjet.com, listen to some clips, and find out what the NEW new-wave is. Or just come and listen to some new Rock and Roll, which is what I would call it.

Gareth at 3:47:45 Tuesday January 4 100

HeadCleaner at 23:34:36 Sunday January 2 100
Thanks, Dusty - keep reading the zine for hopefully a lot more in the way of new content in 2000...including an interview with Britney's choreographer, believe it or not...

Dusty at 22:21:7 Sunday January 2 100
you people are so cool. 'Instant Street' single of '99! wew! (although i liked 'Sister Dew' even more) and you must be the only 'zine in the universe that managed to put Britney Spears between the 'Lips and dEUS. Unique. congrats from me... i also saw someone else becoming regular here, at last, and he's called 'the tourist', which can only be a good thing. btw, happy new year everyone! this is going to be a busy year for pop.....

My argument is not that Kelly is better than Nicky Wire. My argument is that Nicky Wire is a prick. He's always blabbing on about band not being political any more, whaen what he talks is shit anyway. What about the important things, sod the 'Welsh Revoloution' what about all the millions of ids starving around the world? What about all the homeless on the streets, what about all those not as well off as him. Arse.

Mylene F. Jenius at 18:55:55 Thursday December 23 99
Hey. I love Steps and as a sensible young lady I will have NONE of this DISGUSTING talk of naked pictures of them. That is just offensive and only horrible blokes like you would talk of such a thing. Naked pictures of Danny from Ooberman - THAT'S what this site needs!! C'mon!! You know you want to!!!!!! PHWOOOAR!!! ;)

Guy at 2:16:34 Thursday December 23 99

jilted john has something to do with a bloke called Graham Fellows who was also John Shuttleworth on the BBC2 series 500 bus stops. Has anyone heard of a band called the living end? They are amazing, they sound a bit like green day but the guitarist, Chris Cheeney, is amazing and most of the song's have got a quality solo in them, well wortha listen!

HeadCleaner at 21:7:29 Friday December 10 99

Is anyone aware that your 'Single of The Week' for 26 November - StarGirl's 'Here I Am' - is also available on The 'UK Kosovo Refugee Relief Volume Two' CD ? The UKKRR CD's represent 26 of the UK's favourite Internet-based artists and donates ALL artist proceeds to the British Red Cross. Sales of the CD's have dried up slightly since the effective end of the war in Kosovo, but the situation re: the refugees is *far* from over. Unfortunately, not all artists on the CD's promote the compilations as widely as would be hoped, preferring instead to sell their own product. Anyway, on behalf of the other artists on the compilations and the British Red Cross, I'd would be extremely grateful if you could give either of our compilations a mention (or even better - a review), possibly in the context of Volume Two containing the StarGirl single ? The UK Kosovo Refugee Relief website can be found at http://welcome.to/ukkrr; alternatively, there is an mp3.com site at http://www.mp3.com/ukrelief If anyone has any queries whatsoever regarding this project, please don't hesitate to contact me. Regards,

Dusty at 8:58:29 Wednesday December 1 99
I just couldn't help popping in, coz that girl Karin had said it: dEUS. The best band of the rest of the world (non-UK, non-US...) easily. The Ideal Crash is thhe album of the year for me (closely followed by The Contino Sessions and Moby's Play). They've got all that's needed to be a great band, and if we lived in a fair and sensible world, they'd be one of the most popular bands out there. (but we don't - there are still people out there who don't like Radiohead, aren't they?_ cheers!

Anon at 14:29:6 Sunday November 28 99

Greg O'Keeffe at 22:9:45 Thursday November 25 99
Hey, me again. Just heard a whole host of tracks from 'Midnite Vultures' and they blew me away. Beck can REALLY sing. They've got funk, soul and a load of hip/hop. 'sexx laws' is nothing compared to 'Debra' (all prince histrionics, and pulsing bass) and 'Mixed Bizness' beasties jamming wiht wham! I'll be getting it.

I think you should try listening to dEUS from Belgium: I saw them at a festival in Denmark. They are fabulous!

Guy at 20:5:26 Sunday November 14 99
Why are there no good bands coming through at the minute? There seems to be a lull in originality at the minute. All the new bands seem to be brtipop rip-offs or hip-hop artists. Where have all the REAL rock groups gone?

Greg at 13:43:13 Thursday November 11 99
If you like the 'Lips album then you should definitely listen to the new Beulah cd, 'When you're heart strings break.' It's just superb.
