| Mean 18 are probably the first great computer Golf game, there was other around but none of them came close to mean 18. While the game used a flat course engine, it was its only shortcoming and led the way for Jack Nicklaus designer series that followed some years afterwards. For many years it was also the only golf game that did a realistic job of handling tree's. Most of todays computer JN/PGA Golf course designers started out designing on Mean 18. |
