Killerest Expression discussion forum here NEWS - 19th July 2004 Not too much news cos we're still busy writing. New tunes sounding good. K-Line split still not happened yet (yawn) and we got a few dates coming up over the summer - please see dates. Hope you're all having a cool summer even tho the weathers not up to much. I'll update this bit again when theres a bit more to tell you ok?! Cheers, Gav NEWS - 7th April 2004 Sorry. Got way too slack on updating this site. I will really try hard now to keep it updated much more regular from now on. Am hoping to get some PHP code on here so I can update the news and gig dates from my work computer cos it ain't always the easiest to find time to update it in my spare time. Quite a load of stuff going on at the moment. We've just been out on a mini tour with Hi Tech Jet and went to Plymouth, London, Derby and Stoke. Really enjoyed this tour, had a really good laugh and had some great gigs. Special cheers to Darren from the Once Over Twice in Plymouth for letting us stay at his and taking us clubbing and sight seeing by moonlight around Plymouth after the gig. We had a load of fun - cheers dude! If you still haven't managed to see Hi Tech Jet, make sure you do soon cos they are so bloody good. Got our last date of the tour with them in Newport on Saturday, really looking forward to that one. The split with K-Line is just waiting for Ed Wenn to get back from holiday to record his guitar and vocal parts (we recorded our tracks ages ago!) so things will get moving when that happens. Will let you know as soon as we know anything more definite than that. We've also been working hard at writing some new stuff and we got probably about ten new tunes so far so things are starting to look very promising for us to start thinking properly about putting out an album. Still want to get a few more tunes in the bag and re-arrange some of what we've got so far before we book some recording time, but we're hoping to get it all together for summer time. Also, we have a Killerest babyon the way! Big congratulations to Ben and his wife Sarah who are expecting their first child!! We're all dead happy for you mate, well done. Have got a few more dates coming up, will update the dates page soon when they're all confirmed. Take care, Gav NEWS - 10th November 2003 Ok, quick update for ya. Been getting it in the neck on the forums for being a lazy bugger so here you go..... Gigs are a bit few and far between of late, been trying to get to the studio more to get some new tunes down. The few gigs we have done have been pretty cool, most notably the IATDE alldayer (very drunk) and playing at the Monarch Barfly with Right Turn Clyde and B Movie Heroes. Theres a review on drownedinsound (here) if you'd care to have a look. Will be cranking back up the gigs situation in the new year and are looking to sort another tour for feb/march time. Anyone thats up for putting us on in the new year, please get in touch. Still waiting on the split with K-Line to come out, this will probably see the light of day in Jan 2004 now (finger crossed) so expect to see a load of gigs happen with them in the new year too. Ok, thats all for now. Expect the next update in about 6 months time ;-) Take care, Gav NEWS - 16th July 2003 Sorry for the lack of news updates. I've recently had all my fingers removed cos they kept getting in the way. Makes it a bit difficult to type though. Anyways, just to let you know that we just recorded three stonking new tracks for a split single we're going to do with K-Line. AND we're out on tour between 8th & 17th of August, please check dates page to see if we're playing anywhere near you. Start saving your pennies now, cos this tours gonna be a bit special! Take care, Gav NEWS - 23 April 2003 Ok then, loads of news to tell you all! After a brief quiet patch to get rehearsing properly again and get some new tunes written, we've gotten all busy and sorted out a shedload of new gigs all over the country! Justing waiting to get confirmation on them all and I'll post them all up on the dates page. Just quickly tho, we'll be playing Cambridge, Cardiff, Brum, London together with a mini tour in Wales and a full tour is being set up for August which will be with The Next Autumn Soundtrack and sponsored by Punktastic. Trying to get even more gigs sorted as well, really want to fill up May, June & July as much as possible so if you are or know a promoter, please get in touch. Also, and this is well exciting, we're going to release a split e.p. with the very cool K-Line to be released jointly by IATDE and Boss Tuneage. Big thanks to Aston & Mark for making this happen. We'll be heading back to Nottingham at the start of July to record 3 tracks at Pristine studios with Paul Yeadon and Jonny Carter once more. Can't wait! We got a load of new tunes written so its gonna be pretty hard to choose what to record. Hmm........ Anyways, expect loads of updates in the coming weeks regarding gigs cos they're coming in thick and fast. Keep an eye on the dates page and please come and say hi if we're playing in your town. Been a bit quiet on the band front becuase of all this and will be a little quiet for the weeks to come as well. We have had a couple of gigs recently which were all fun, It feels kind of wierd though becuase we are not rehearsing as much so its just like every once ina while we do a gig -but its good to keep your hand in so to speak! On Friday we are off to Cardiff to play with the Take at the Oz Bar and then Saturday we are playing with the Take again and the mighty Tiny Elvis in Bath at the Trailer Park Trash B'Day gig so looking forward to that. It would be good to see some faces at those gigs so come down and say hello. We have also been added to the Crossfire gig in Leicester March 22nd, with Steel Rules Die and K-Line tickets available from Crossfire (look it up on a search engine -I cant remember the address right now) There is a shindig at A skate Park in the day with bands then a gig on the night -we should be be at both and playing the night do. I might even dust off my ol' deck roll around the floor telling kids about the golden days of skating, Hokus Pokus and bringing out random quotes such as "what you doing Jeff?, getting a rat -im hungry" or singing old Sub Society songs and wondering how kids manage to skate on decks so thin!!! Just been asked to do a gig in Nottingham with Pulley at the Old Angel its on March 25th and should be some fun! Big thanks to Both Joe Ninety and The Leif Ericsson for the few gigs we did with them over February it was much fun and great to see them both play so often! you can also now check out new releases by both those bands and they are both truly incredible so make sure you get a copy soonish. We are currently looking at booking a tour with Hitechjet for roughly June/July time -this will hopefully be sorted out over the course of the next month or so so if you want us to play in your area please get in touch and we will see what we can do. Instead of Cardiff we will be playing at the Appletree in Worcester with the incredible This Aint Vegas and Meg - many thanks to Steve Fessey who has saved our lives at the last minute. CHEERS! Being the devious little gits we are it looks like we have wormed our way onto a few gigs on the Leif Ericsson/Joe ninety tour in Jan/Feb next year -this is partly due to the fact they are some of the nicest people you would ever wish to meet - but also something to do with the fact i kidnapped thier girlfriends who are locked up in the cellar -and when the gigs are over, they get them back unharmed - its as simple as that! T minus 5 days till the tour............. NEWS - 13th November 2002 Change of venue for the Grimsby gig, its now gonna be held at The Matrix Club.
