Cudham is a small village
near Orpington in NW Kent and we play our cricket in the picturesque setting of
its recreational ground where we maintain the ‘square’ ourselves. The club was founded in 1965
as Cudham Youth Club or YCs pronounced “wise”. This name quickly evolved
into Cudham Wyse and we have been known as the Wysemen ever since. The club has around 35
members and we put out one and sometimes two Saturday sides as well as a Sunday
side each weekend. The Saturday XI play in the Bat & Ball Sports Kent
Village League, which they jointly won in 2000. However, most of our fixtures are friendly (though
competitive) village games with other local sides. We also
go on tour every year and run a winter net in
Sevenoaks between January & April. We are always looking for new players regardless of age, cricketing experience or ability. We are also a very friendly and inclusive club and many of us learnt our cricket with Wyse from beginners so if you are interested please do not hesitate to contact us. You can use one of the telephone numbers or email addresses listed under Contacts off this page or email: kitjillings@ukonline.co.uk Alternatively just come and spectate and join us in the Blacksmiths Arms next to the ground after the game. |
