James
regularly opens the bowling for the first XI on a Saturday and debuted
as Captain of the Sunday XI in 2001. Had an average season by his own
high standards, but did enter a select band of Wysemen to bag over 200
career victims. The pressure of dealing with all the "old
men", however, proved too much and as he became distinctly 'flakey'.
Also took the Teflon worst fielder award.

Russell
has relinquished opening bowling duties to his son James. Nevertheless
he regularly turns out for the first XI and ‘hunts rabbits’.
Injuries allowing his class still shines through as the taker of nearly
800 wickets for the Wyse Men. Russ is also a fine striker of the ball in
the middle order. The 'Dick of the Year' Award was well merited and
after so many years of monkey mask wearing eccentricity - long overdue.

Andy
has made a welcome return to the Wyse set up after an absence of several
years.
Definitely one of the 'lads' he can always be relied on to enjoy his
cricket. In an ideal
game Andy combines useful change bowling with lower order batting for the
Sunday XI. Notable for a unique ‘slingy’ wide arm action at delivery
and his umpiring. Winner of 2001's Specsavers Worst Umpire award.

Keith
opens the batting for the first XI and finally relinquishes the club
captaincy after a 3 year reign of which he can be proud. A consistent run maker Keith
has nearly 6000 career runs & holds the club
record for the highest individual score at 148. He is notable for his
reliable catching in the field and a host of idiosyncrasies not least
his battle cry of “Come On!”
