The club’s most enigmatic player, Alex
had perhaps his best year for the Wyse in 2001. A
deserved nominee for both the batting & bowling awards he can justly
claim to be a genuine all rounder. Al was the club's leading wicket
taker last term with 17 league victims. A fine
technician with the bat, he also struck a memorable fifty at Weald.

A
regular in the Sunday line-up, Mike is a canny off-spinner who
frequently forces false strokes from batsmen who make the mistake of
underestimating his guile; his bowling has induced more cow shots than
foot and mouth disease. A gardener by profession, Mike is also known to enjoy a good
agricultural mow down the order.

Danny
is a rapidly maturing cricketer who has made some useful contributions
with the bat this year including several appearances for the League
side. His fielding is also a key asset to any side he plays for since he
combines reliable catching with a good arm and pace in the outfield. His
occasional bowling has also met with some success this term. His gloves
over the pavilion antics further enhanced his angry young man persona.

Graham
is a popular and long standing Wyse Man. He is a useful & hard hitting
batsman as well as a reliable slip fielder. Won the club's 2001 golf
tournament by an impressive margin. Any suggestion that he hoodwinked
his opponents in the handicapping is entirely without foundation.
