Narrow country lanes lead us to DUNNERDALE, inspiration for over 30 Wordsworth sonnets. Here we follow the RIVER DUDDON through tree-lined gorges and rough mountain sides to its source by the THREE SHIRES STONE high on WRYNOSE PASS.

Descending steeply to view LITTLE LANGDALE TARN and remote BLEA TARN, we are confronted by the dramatic LANGDALE PIKES.Our return home is by pretty ELTERWATER and peaceful LOUGHRIGG TARN.
