Vet Fees are paid if you re-home a SPECIAL
NEEDS Cat.
Cats Protection Lanarkshire will pay for all vet fees to
people offering to re-home our cats that perhaps have some mild illness
or are older cats. We do not put cats to sleep EVER -
unless the vet says a cat is so ill then it is cruel not too.
We delight in
finding new homes for caring cat owners wishing to give our special
needs cats a second chance in life, and allow these owners to enjoy the
comforts a companion cat can bring.

SPECIAL NEEDS CATS : October
Thank you to those
people who have been sending in donations to help the cats from our
Special Appeal. You have no idea how much it is appreciated.
Evan our little kitten
that had problems supporting his back legs sadly took a turn for the
worse in early August.
He was taken to the vet after becoming immobile. Up until then Evan was
able to get around and played with his siblings even though his back
legs seemed to be paralysed. He responded slightly to acupuncture and
was a lovely natured kitten. X-rays showed that Evan had a very deformed
spine and hips. He had no tail. It was decided that his condition was no
longer treatable and Evan was put to sleep by the vet.
His Foster mum Anne Marie
was understandably upset. She found Evan to be a perfect natured kitten
in spite of his disabilities. He had a happy wee life doing what the
rest of the kittens do, albeit in his own unique way.
Meanwhile,
Cassius has now been referred to a specialist to see if they can help
his nasal discharge in any way.
Cassius leads a normal life and is not
infectious. If you can tolerate wiping a cats dirty nose then give us
call. Cassius is adorable.
