Sponsor A Cat Cabin 2008

The majority of our rescued cats are cared for indoors with foster Mums until permanent new homes are found. However, additional accommodation is made possible by large outdoor cat cabins that can allow a volunteer foster Mum to care for more than one litter at a time.

You can help provide homeless cats and kittens with real and practical support by sponsoring a Cats Protection Cat Cabin.

Every year, we provide unwanted cats and kittens with a clean and safe place to stay, warm bedding, attentive carers, regular meals, medical attention, entertainment and much, much more. We care for cats in an environment built to meet their needs until a permanent new home can be found for them.

Year 2008 is the 5th anniversary of Lanarkshire Branch "Sponsor a Cat Cabin" scheme, and we are seeking more sponsorship.

Instead of £4 a month, as its our 5th anniversary we are asking for annual donations from as little as £5 in total a year.

We also have cat pens in Bellshill and another in Wishaw, so you can see we have cat cabins covering much of the Lanarkshire area.

One Cat Cabin can help many cats throughout the year. However, there are a lot of additional running costs associated with the Cat Cabins. Each Cabin needs to be installed with electricity for heating and lighting, plus pet beds, toys, scratching posts & litter trays. Plus an endless supply of food ofcourse!

Your support will allow us to plan for the future and help extend our cat welfare work.

To help pay for these Cat Cabins, our Branch started a Cat Cabin sponsorship scheme and so far it has been a great success. Sponsorship of a Cat Cabin costs from £5 and regular sponsors are given a certificate and twice yearly "Cat Cabin Update Report" letting them know all about the cats and kittens that have been helped in the Cat Cabin.

Sponsors can send in cheques monthly or quarterly, or you may set up a Direct Debit or Standing Order with your bank. You may stop and start sponsorship as it suits you, so sponsors are under no obligation to commit to sponsoring year after year.

Most sponsors pay by cheque annually with a donation of anything between £5 and £50 a year. Sponsors can post cheques, made payable to "Cats Protection Lanarkshire" to:
