Dragon Dance, Unicorn & Lion Dance & Fireworks Display
Sunday, 13th February, 12 noon to 4 p.m.
Major fireworks starts at 1 p.m., Gt Geroge Square
The celebrations really start to take off when the dragons, lions and unicorn arrive at the streets of Chinatown to greet the Community. Enjoy the firecrackers, the colour and the visual feast which is created by the passage of the Dragons through the streets, collecting their lucky money bags, lighting fire crackers, and blessing restaurants and community associations.

Chinese Lucky Man visits China Town

Sunday, 13th February, 12 noon to 4 p.m.
The Chinese God of Wealth - Chinese Lucky Man dressed in traditional costume will visit China Town and bless everyone with luck in the coming New Year.

Colin's Fun Fair Ground

Children's rides and White-Knuckle rides that offer spectacular views of the city's skyline for those who dare!

Chinese Street Festival
Sunday, 13th February, 12 noon to 4 p.m.
Following the Dragon, Lion & Unicorn Dances through the streets of Chinatown. Watch the spectacular firecrackers display. Enjoy the Merseyside Police Band's delightful performance, entertaining tyhe crowd with some of your favourite tunes. Many of our fine shops and restaurants will be open for you to further your Chinese New Year experience.

It is an appropriate time for Flowers and Bonsai exhibition. Besides various exhibitions, there is also Chinese music, tradition dance, Tai Chi and Cantonese opera performance. The exhibition is open to the general public and free of charge

The Impact of Licensing Act 2003 on Chinese Catering Industries

The Pagoda is the home of the largest Chinese Youth Orchestra in Europe which has achieved international acclaim under the direction of Mr Liu.
