Why Mini? - Why 76?
The mini seemed a logical choice of learner car, easy and fun to drive, attractive to a wide range of people, excellent safety features and surprisingly spacious inside
(I'm 6ft tall and never feel crammed in).
The name '76 driver training' evolved over a couple of months really. At first I was trying to think of original names for the driving school and kept hitting dead ends, then one day the graphic designer suggested having a rally theme to the designs on the car, as a salute to the British Mini rally acheivements during the 1960's.
From there it all took shape, the numbers on the door being my birth year and the British colours on the car all seemed to fit quite nicely.
Without Lee Daniels at leandiesel.co.uk it may still have been on the drawing board!
